Hey guys! My first track day, but it certainly won't be my last! REALLY enjoyed it and couldn't believe how much rubber we burned! Hi to everyone I met there, can't remember all your names cos my brain got frazzled by G-force , but met Mellow and Blue first thing in the morning (we were the first to arrive) and Rum a bit later on.... Also someone with a "normal" Scoobynet name - sorry mate, you were going to get a ride in my other half's STi but we didn't see you all afternoon.

Anyway, had a grrrrreat time - looking forward to the next track day.

 

Top Day,
did not get any passenger laps in, but hey, it was still worth it. Espeically watching the skyline giving it sideways nearly every lap into the main straight. The prospec skyline was also awesome (and so was your little blue one Cem ). Best moment for me was watching Mr Khan having some fun with another DBM, we could tell when Mark was going past the pit due to the tyre squeal.

Sorry to anyone I met whom I did not introduce myself to properly, not being rude, just forgetful.

Great day, and I'm seriously putting the car on track when the next bedford event comes up.

ps: Mark, sort the brakes out mate, get yourself a set of movit's you know you want to

Craig you're dead right mate - there was no 'competition'.

You didn't get on track, T5NWY used the excuse his new STi7 had only done 260 miles and Mellow went through a set of tyres before he'd go out at the same time as me

I know how Petter Solberg feels - being both fast and good looking

 

Your so right Blue, I find it a constant drain

 

Don't know about the best looking or the fastest, but I overtook both Blue and Mellow! Obviously women drivers are far superior

Sorry to see you taking your car to bits cos it was "broke". What was the problem then??? Have you fixed it yet or did you have to walk home?

And BTW I didn't think either you or Mellow looked old (well not as old as me anyway!) - can't speak for T5NYW cos I don't know if I met him or not!

 

T5NWY was the one with the zimmer frame And Mellow is many, many moons older than me

Only time you passed me was when my car was 'broke' or I was driving around thinking what a lovely day it was in the sunshine and counrtyside

The car is 'better' now, and the journey home was OK - I do need to establish whether its the turbo wastegate or actuator to prevent it happening again (so you can't pass me)

That description sounds like I know what I'm talking about doesn't it !!

I will also be needing the brake upgrade as mine appear to have warped slightly!

Thanks to the guy in the MX5 who gave me a wave after I span off shortly after passing at the first chicane! Hope I didn't disrtact you too much! My excuse is that the instructor was egging me on (a lot! )

FB - You're really Harry Enfield and chums aren't you, I did see you in my mirror and thought I'd let you past because if not you'd only stand in the pits shouting "It isn't fair - I hate you all"

Suby - Don't ask me what was wrong with the thing - no boost was all I understand. Luckily there were some much more knowledgale people than myself there and established the link bar between the wastegate in the turbo and the actuator sticks when it gets hot. I'll try a new actuator, but won't know if its cured until it gets another good thrashing and gets nice and hot.
Anyway - who cares - when its broke, fix it then thrash it again

 

Good call! Just wish I could work weird hours and avoid all the rush-hour traffic on the motorway. Other drivers tend to get a bit annoyed if you bomb down the hard-shoulder at 120mph!!

BTW still sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. Hooray, that makes 2 of us...
