I will run it in like I have all my cars .... gentle, mixed driving for 1,000 miles - drop the oil and replace.
The first 100 miles I take really easy, 100 - 500 miles a bit more 'normal', 500 - 1,000 miles mix it up (some high speed, some commute type, some motorway).
It has served me really well and returned extremely reliable engines. To rag it from the off goes against all the laws of physics, engineering, and sense! So I shall ignore the barmpot in the link above

I've just bought a new Triumph (bike) and the running in procedure is totally OTT. I stuck to it, pretty much to the letter, despite being shown that website.
