Desire have nothing but a duster! They have cash in the bank but thats to fund the exhaustive operations of drilling and scanning, they don't need money they need to find a proper hydrocarbon!! Your money but i fancy red or black down the empire casino more than a punt on these two rogues!

I was watching them for a good while before RKH did anything. Was very tempted to have a small punt on it in the low 40s before they announced their findings. Shame I didn't as that would have been quite a bit of cash now.

Certainly wouldn't buy in now though. Hard to value something like RKH now unless you're in the business and know more about.

LOL you think oil juniors are rogues you should get to know mining juniors!

Anyway it's always a risk but then the rewards are there if they do find 'big game'.

There could still be stuff to find down in the Falklands, but I mention about the money because offshore drilling will burn up money quicker then a bonfire of £50 notes.

And these companies do like to raise money by diluting stock. In fact that seems to be their primary source of funding.

We hold both small oil and gas explorers and small to mid cap miners as part of the larger portfolio.....they are the bain of my life!

Alan, Equity Lines is a part of my business and even i agree it is scandolous! True capitalist market though!

Very faint rumours apparently of a possible bid. From Shell.

Take with a pinch of salt, but interesting nonetheless.

Getting close to £5 again, I wonder if we might see some more growth once it hits the 500 marker or if its going to be an issue come the end of the year..

Well if there are people willing to buy then that's fair enough. Just not me, I learned the hard way.

Hopefully, although I guess the reinstatement of a dividend of some kind is already priced in at these levels?

Been watching that alongside RKH for a while... 100+ to 30s. Oh dear!

When you think about, what do these companies have to back up the price of their shares? A bit of hope maybe, that's it?

I know that, but in the metaphorical sense at least you have assets and solid records of profits! Whereas with these...

Speaking of gambles, have you seen Afren recently? What do you think? Is it on your radar?

I made a few hundred quid on them in its day, but agree, DES is a lost cause at the mo.

Im in REM, bought just before the new year, went up to 70% now up at around 37%. OTC is a steady climber up 10% just from before new year and the trend is looking good. Did the oil and gas pass 2 years, time for a change, now in to precious metals at the mo. Missed out on RRR, gone up by 700% since Nov!!
