I hate these type of threads, far too many contributions from faceless dullards for my liking, but just for the sake of a bit of balance....

...I can recall at least two occasions when the price I've paid for a job at Scoobyclinic has been less than the price originally quoted.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Ok, just to clarify, I wasn`t complaining about the work or the service and like I said in my remap thread, I`m very happy with the work, top job

As far as the price goes, at the time I wasn`t 100% sure what I`d been quoted (been on nights and wasn`t really `with it`) so didn`t like to question it incase I was wrong. It was only when I double checked my email at home that I was able to confirm the original price.

I`ve had the £50 refund but wasn`t aware of it because somehow I never saw the first email stating this and explaining the `mistake`. I`ve subsequently had a 2nd email and all is sorted.

The last thing I wanted to do was start an `anti Scoobyclinic` debate , all I did was state that prices should be confirmed etc. If I`d had / read the first email I wouldn`t have said anything as it was sorted immediately as Kev said

So, to summarise, I`m more than happy to go back, albeit with my head hung low, as long as they make sure there`s milk in the tea machine next time .

Absolutely!

My previous post would have had so much more credibility if only I'd had the foresight to register using the nickname gigantic_love_spuds.

Oh well, you live and learn.

Why is there any shame in putting on a forum an accurate account of our experiences?

Never used them for work on my Impreza, but bought a Fiesta RS Turbo off them around 2002/2003 and was a pretty good buying experience.

Threads like this make me laugh if you have a problem then why dont uou pick up the phone and talk about it instead of sitting behind a keyboard with your can of stella to make up for the lack of rollocks you have. I am sure if it was all about money kev would of retired 10 years ago. I have used the scooby clinic for years and have never had a problem with service price or workmanship in fact i have never used anyone else on both my scoobs as the clinic have gone out of their way on many occasions to help me on weekends and evenings.

Just pick up the phone

Scoobyclinic is the only place I've used where they advise you not to buy things from them if you don't need to. Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, I will continue to use them on my Spec D.

Surely you would ask for a price to diagnose the fault then get a quote to repair it. Are you suggesting their mapping screwed it up? If so tell them to sort it out, speak to Kev & tell him your not happy, I'm sure he would rather sort it out with you than enter into a forum slanging match.

I have no affiliation with Scoobyclinic. I have dealt with Kev and Adam a couple of times. Kev is a straight forward bloke, not someone out to rip you off. In future think before you start sullying someone's good reputation.

Funny how 'There' Dyno showed you running so low?!? Then you needed to spend all that money to 'Sort' the problem...

As this thread has been brought back to life after two and a half years and there are possibly people reading things and maybe being diverted i thought i may as well put a bit on.

I'm currently on my third Impreza. My dad has one as well and spent a fortune on it.

I phoned them for some advice on their billet turbos and mapping.

They really couldn't have been more helpful. Like previously quoted they pretty much refused to sell us what we didn't need. I think they asked as many questions as i did, including what the car was going to be used for i.e track, fast road, the type of driver etc....

We are now travelling from Bristol and Surrey (passing numerous companies) to spend some money with them and give the cars a real treat.
