If you would like to post the video fella its no problem

to be honest i'm kind of glad it's not just me who aint happy with their cars results, as it has been playing on my mind since having it done...

I have 100% confidence in my mapper AKA jolly green monster, he's always gone above and beyond to help me out

Guys, just read the last two pages and it looks like you all had a wasted day Maybe we could have a day up somewhere else like power station or somewhere known to be alot more accurate

Cheers Glenn , but like I said the torque figure is confusing.

Simon the 270 refers to power at the wheels, just wish the torque figure was better.

That was the first time that I have ever been to a RR day, but I suppose strapping the middle would stop the car from 'skipping'.

Simon, that is the bhp figure at the wheels which is the bhp minus the transmission loss through gearbox and axles. I think on an Impreza it is around 22%.

I don't really think that your automatic Impreza really suits a RR run, mainly due to the different gearing I would think making it harder to get a more accurate figure.

The automatic gearbox / torque convertor will rob more power from the flywheel bhp figure than a manual gearbox, with your car it is about how it accelerates and it seems to go fine when I was behind it.

As some of you know I logged my run on my laptop also. I was pleasantly surprised that I pretty much logged what happens when I log on the road. Very slight differences, but the circumstances are different, and under different load conditions.
Personally I am happy with the run I had and have used it to perform a few tweaks already. I would have loved to have seen something nearer to the 400 mark but I also know that my stock bov leaks after 1.8 bar so hopefully will have a new synapse one arriving in a few weeks from the states.
I can't comment on whether Lee’s car was strapped down tidy as I don't know. I have offered Lee to check his AFR's with my LM1,
My AFR's are pretty much what I would expect and are in line with my map and what I log.
Graphs below

I must say that I am absolutely no expert on this, it’s just a hobby for me, but after hundreds of logs and probably over 50 maps on my car, you get to know your car.
Everything stacked ok for me

Yeah maybe it's a bit of a dark art and the way to tune it, is just what Bob does, on the way the car behaves on the road ???

Thats what i was thinking Rich Dont know the ins and outs of a RR but there may be different settings i;e air flow and fuel readings between Evo's and Imprezas. I will ask them when i make a trip up next.

There must be something up as all of your cars were apparently running lean. One or two yes but not everyone surely

I remember the ball ache at Powerstation on the open day, swapping the set up for FWD/AWD/RWD and N/A and turbo cars.

This may be the answer as Calv said.

The operator said that my fuelling was spot on

I was however down 10-16bhp on previous runs at Zen . I think Lee told me that Zen's rollers have read a little higher that other RR's with near back to back comparisons.

I was happy with my results on the day, as in it's nice and safe with a tidy amount of power (320 bhp on the day) with potential for more if I wanted to.

The operator when he was showing me the AFR plot did say that it was running a little lean in places but he wondered if that was done for safety...

When I had the car mapped with Bob I am sure he told me that he was happy with the end map as it gave a nice power curve and all the other variables such as AFR and boost were good.

I am sure that Bob would not have left the AFR ratio's go into lean at any point, so I am confused has my map changed or is the AFR plot incorrect?
