Just airfilter and engine complete.
Was going to get Pat to look after mapping and race support but just can't get hold of him on a regular basis. Heard alot of good things about simon and he is getting good results on lots of subaru's so I will be giving him a bell soon to sort out a start up map and when I get the bumper back (hopefully this year ), I can get the mapping done.

Yeah I wanted to keep it mounted around heat so that If I need to return oil to sump it will stay like oil and not go to creamy gunk, thats the idea around it anyway.

Good a few updates for you all, sorryfor the delay been a little busy with other stuff, but got her started at last so nearly ready for engine to be run in.

Exhaust way to loud though so will have to look at other option hopefully just a silencer swap

Will be selling these bumpers as well
Completed engine bay

O and some new brakes to cope with those late lungs into the corners to pass the competitors

Meant to be black high temp stuff but it don't like brake fluid, might be better once brakes get upto temp and bakes on

wow this looks awesom. it looks like you are going to race this if so ive noticed a niggle with the seat monts i may be wrong but id hate for you to get it to a race and have it fail scruiteneering. If you check the MSA blue book the ends of the seat tubes should have a spreader plate 3mm thick with a cetain square cm area to stop them ripping out of the floor in a shunt. I looks like yours havent. if im wrong then im wrong if not i may save you alot of time money and embarasment on the start line. Hope this helps.

you would have hope they already covered it then. it probably on the othere side of the shell skin or the ends of the tubes meet the area require ment? My cage is made buy them and i no they know there stuff so it probably ok.

nearly mat blacked mine but i couldnt bring my self to spoil the v ltd blue. so im just having a few mat black highlites.

any how a cool build non the less, get some photos of it up in action.

Had a look today there isn't no surround around the tubes that are welded to tunnel but is on other side, is that what you meant ?

yup, the tubes will probably go through and out the other side and then re-enforced on the back side, glad to hear its ok id hate to see a good project altered. so late along the line. I chose custom cages to had good experiaces with them. I fitted mine in house tho.

here are my load spreaders, these are front side i did it this way so i could drop as low to the floor as poss, im 6ft and my sholders are just below the door line in the race seat

you need a copy of the msa blue book it will show you how to do them you could end up modding them and still not be in the ruels! I should think custom cages did them corectly tho. as they will have got thousands of car through the regs.
