we stock and supply both types but in general terms there are potentially better options IMO - all depends what your trying to achieve or "solve" ??

Ok cheers, just trying to mask the dreaded synchro crunch the 5 speed boxes suffer with, im running castrol universal but the crunch is still there for 2nd and 3rd, seen some people say the lightweight redline has solved this issue, well, hidden this issue lol

cheers

Running redline lightweight in mine, works really well. Box is smooth as silk.

Lightweight Shockproof is probably the best option for that.

Cheers

Unfortunately, it's not cheap stuff, but is very effective.

Cheers

I had a fourth-gear crunch - following advice from a US forum I tried a "cocktail" of one quart of Lightweight Shockproof plus three litres of regular 75w90. Worked like a charm.

Hmm well I might just buy 1 bottle of redline , drain a litre of gearbox oil out then add the redline and see what happens

Smurfs blood is good, coats the insides completely and if you've ever tried to drain it you get about half a pint out again lol

Cheers guys, just ordered a bottle from opie Oils, will drain about a litre out of gearbox, add this bottle and see if any difference , bit wary of adding 4 litres of it as it seems to be a thick gear oil and some say it makes for hard gear changes when cold etc sow ill go for the mix option 1st

cheers again
