In all honesty, despite setting a new PB, I really didn't enjoy myself. Worst experience I've had drag racing ever.
They absolutely took the biscuit running those stupid junior dragsters for 45min at a time, every hour, letting them skip the queue.
I had 4 runs in 5 hours for crying out loud, really vexed me and ruined it for me. After my 4th run (my PB) I couldn't be arsed to queue any more and went home. Last time I went to Santa Pod I ran well over 10 times before 12pm!
I do feel that given a bit more track time I would have gone quicker, as my gear changes were sloppy and the launch not great.. but never mind. I will find that perfect run one day. At least my clutch only had to take 4 launches lol.. I expected to finally write it off on Sunday, but I guess it will probably get to 4 years old before it dies now

Me at Shakey:

I can launch better and change gear faster.. I should have gone quicker if I'd not been annoyed with the queues

Every time i had a run i got down to a new PB for this car, I just can't get it cleanly off the line.
Anyway i'm paying the price as those of you who are on my facebook will have seen as it tried to set fire to itself yesterday morning as it burnt through some wiring loom near the fuel pump and making a right mess to find someone had bodged the live feeds to run a sub previously that were shorting out and looks like its taken a few things with it

I personally find drag strips unrealistic, sometimes to slippy, sometimes to much grip, and different strips times can vary......I drive on the road and if its quick on there then I am happy

there noise then there to much noise the internally gaqted turbo with a screamer pipe fitted seems very loud compared to a external gated turbo with a screamer for some reason i dont think you would like it after a few days to be honest
