Standard 2.0..
The map was apparently very conservative, running only 1.4 bar I believe? Mapped by Bob Rawle. He was happy with the results as he was running a MD321 of some sort, with a lot lot more boost, and made very similar power. I think should the map be a lot less conservative it could make a lot more power.

so i just take dump valve off and block it basically. and jest do nothing and it will sound like that? does it only make a chatter on full nail or all the time sorry fo questions but very interested in this
Mine should be circa 400-420 using TMIC, thats all thats holding mine back. could be pushed more but would start getting det on it when it would have got hot. i'm using 800cc injectors. just need to get it on the RR.
Or just put a plate behind your existing dv which is what I've done currently. Only really makes the noise if you have an induction kit mind.. does it whenever you make boost, the more boost you're making at the time you lift off, the bigger the chirping!

Thanks lads was trying to avoid asking him as I thought it was a tad cheeky lol the guy wants nearly full new price for them but it does include new gaskets so may end up getting them off Harvey still anyway. So if I have any problems ill be in a better position with Harvey

The P1 uppipe as supplied by Subaru is exactly the same as any other non catted Subaru uppipe for any STi. Because of its design it will not provide the performance of one of the appropriate uppipes above but it is certainly better in terms of performance than a catted WRX item.
Obviously with different turbos and power levels it is not possible for one uppipe to cater for all specifications and I simply match the uppipe to the customer spec.
Just to clarify, I do a range of 8 NEW stainless steel, slip jointed, DEI heat wrapped, purpose designed performance uppipes complete with five new Subaru studs. The trick 3 bolt flange uppipes are £149.00 plus delivery and the 2 bolt flange £139 plus delivery.

This'll drastically shorten the life of the turbo though won't it?

Plenty of people do it when they fit front mounts without problem. Normally because they cba faffing around with adapter plates etc. It has the potential to cause problems, but I've only ever read of the early IHI VF models having issues with it. The newer ones e.g. this side of a newage are apparently ok with it.
And hey.. if the turbo goes, it's a great excuse to get a bigger one

I'd love to do it but fairly certain my VF23 wouldn't approve.
