Another Scooby H?

I was hoping to get my nice new Godspeed front and rear discs fitted but the weather isn't looking too promising so I think i'll leave it for now.

Howdo people... Anybody got a good cond. drivers side mirror for a blue bug?

Took my lad to footie practice the other night, when i got back to the car my mirror was hanging down
Got it taped up at the moment - TUT.

OR.... Have seen a set of Carbon fib. look ones, but have heard they have got a rubbish view, any thoughts?

I've got an ok one. Think its blob though. They're only slightly different mind you. Fit exactly the same though. Want me to get a pic?

What colour is it princey? Some colours were only used on uk turbo cars and visa versa.

E.g.

Green, redish blue or mica red = UK

Or

Yellow, black (exc catalunia) and steel grey (exc RB5) = import

well the engineer from the warranty came out last saturday so spent all week waiting for his report to give the garage the go ahead to start work on it its the main bearing the crank is floating and pushing out the rear main seal causing the leak the only thing is the warranty only covers a grand so looks like its going to be a row with the dealer who sold it me but the only thing with that is he is on holiday till the 13th of this month so its a right nightmare ive got a feeling i might have to get a solicitor involved its driving me crazy having to rely on lifts for everything and im pissed off aswell because when i towed the car there the tow bar jumped out and grabbed my bumper and ripped it off the car regret buying this car massivly biggest mistake ive ever made

Ive just been reading back about your car. It sounds like you have only had it for a couple of months, and when you purchased it, you were aware of the oil problem, but the "dealer" assured you that it was just a plug problem and that he would put things right no matter what. It now sounds like he`s gone off on holiday, (spending your money) and he is dodging putting this right. Your right, this sounds a nightmare. There is a case here for "buyer beware" but there is also a case for "goods not fit for the value of". If you do decide to go to a solicitor it could get expensive. I considered it last year, but decided against it after taking advise from others, because it could just end up being a case of "your word against his". I feel for you Craig and I hope you get some justice out of it in the end. One things for sure though, I bet you wont be buying a car from this dealer again, and try to let as many people know about it, so they dont have the same misfortune.

cheers mate tbf the dealer was sound about the original oil leak he paid 1500 quid for it to be sorted out of his own pocket and i got a new clutch and cambelt out of that so i was happy that was until it went again he did tell me before i brought the car he was going away so i think its a case of bad timing his website says he's back on the 13th here is his site:
http://www.tradecarsdirectstaffs.co.uk/
i will speak to him when he's back and just see what he has to say ive logged everything from buying the car to now every time its gone back etc i have wrote it all down yer it could end up getting expensive i think the first thing i will do if i have no joy will be to go and see c.a.b and go from there worst comes to worse i will just have to pay and cut my losses and sell it

If the garage agrees to fix your motor YOU CHOOSE which garage to have it fixed for peace of mind. There are a lot of garages who claim to know Subaru engines but are just full of bull.
Good Luck, you'll get there in the end........

I agree with you, but there in lies the million dollar question. Which companies know what they are doing and which dont? Ive seen people recommend places on here that I wouldnt trust in tightening my wheel nuts, let alone fix an engine. Then again Ive seen people slag off companies that Ive dealt with before without any trouble....
