Hmm.......I think I might stick with the Vreds, I'm sure they are more than capable for my driving style!

Personally i found the vreds better than the F1s in the wet too. Thats saying something as the F1s are very very good in the wet.

I have 4 vreds that need using at the mo

I didn't have the 70's on long enough to comment on all weathers but they are very sticky in the dry. Only downside as said is the road noise is fairly noticeable.

If it were me I'd go for the Vreddy's in 235/45/17. Firstly, becasue you can, secondly it will offer you good all round tyre performance and marginally more comfort based on you using this not only for sport but for family too.

I have bought 235/45/17 for my OEM wheels Fozz and they cost me £370 from Elites who matched and beat Camskill. I shall be getting the wheels painted so the fitting is included. However, £40 @ Supertyres or a deal with elites would still be a steal. I noticed Camskill can do x4 of the vreddys for c.£350 atm so I dare say £375 fitted at Elites was negotiable.

That said if I get the rotas painted instead you can have my Vreddy's for £300

Ah....the ESC wheel man has arrived!

So why 235 over 225? Aren't they "too big".

Nope 235s are fine. Gives you a little more tyre on the road mate.

I have 235s on mine and all the JDM cars come with 235s too

MY05 JDM fitment, plus the 45/235 gives you a slightly taller side wall and will run 1mph faster making your speedo more accurate.

Only caveat would be yours are 7.5" width where as 8" is OEM for MY05+.
I'd still try the 235 though.

Will have some 225 on the classic soon Spacers ready to go on to widen the track too. As it's going to stay now (I've had to spend money on it either way of keeping or selling) I might as well start putting the bits on that I've acumulated

Elite want £422.66 for the Vreds supplied and fitted!

Maybe I don't have the right skills but Elite never budge on their prices with me regardless what I say. I told them about the Camskill price and he just said, "well we charge £15.95 each to fit and balance customer supplied tyres".

235/45/17 from mytyres are £91.60 each delivered for 4. Sure you could get them fitted for £30 somewhere.

Due to work, it would realistically be Saturday now, or possibly Friday afternoon as I sometimes finish early on a Friday now if it's quiet.

Thanks Stu!

At least that's because they're popular and a good tyre rather than they're pants and nobody wants them.
