Simon said he found the T to be more resposive than the 20g
andy f took of the md321t to swap for a 20g on TA event
just goes to show diffrent turbos work diffrently on diffrent setups

Cheers Simon.
So it really IS worth getting the 18g over 20g, when running the v.1 heads? >300rpm earlier spool in favour over a possible 20bhp extra top end (but not guaranteed anway!), is much more desirable on the road, agreed?

Ozzy your heads can flow around 460-480bhp I think (maybe more), so you will get the most out of the 20g, as regards the extra 20bhp or so extra top-end it can offer over the 18g. Whether the heads' better flow allow it to spool up any earlier than 4000rpm though, haven't the foggiest ...... Simon?!!

Thats what I thought, but spool vs the extra Hp is what im currently undecided on, really do need to get my mind made up and get one bought though!!
Oh randomly, was reading this thread at work on a break, whilst talking to my manager, I then turned around to look at my manager and noticed her eyes where fixed on the screen, i then look back at the screen and notice your profile image smack bang in the centre...I think she liked

20g
front mount
pinks
full decat including up-pipe
that was meant to be running around 370bhp and killed the gearbox after a day of use, he then fitted a box out of 2.5 hawkeye wrx which lasted till he sold the car.

I know the box will be at risk but I have heard so much either way, a guy in my local club ran 395 bhp on a classic wrx, with over 100K on the clock for 2 years before the engine started to knock ... never had a problem with the gearbox. My car is only used at weekends and the odd track day so should be ok, when it goes it goes.
I want to know if my heads are ok, or if it would be better to change to a set of STi heads with different cams etc

TY754 gearbox fitted to Classics version 5 & 6 is far stronger than the TY752 as is the TY754 fitted to New Age WRX. The TY754 gearbox is perfectly capable of operating well beyond 400 bhp unless driven by someone completely lacking mechanical sympathy. Do not run a paddle clutch.

Can anyone advise if I should look at getting a set of STi heads to replace my wrx ones?
Cheers
