Not wishing to appear disingenuous but should we not also then close the “Tyres Northampton, great Service…”, “What a great service…” and “Best/Worst Dealers..” threads whilst we’re at it?
Closing this thread would be tantamount to censorship of popular opinion(btw I’m military not some right-on leftie), something this BBS does not need. If someone was making outlandish and insulting claims then fine, bin the thread. That doesn’t appear to be the case here.
Whilst I have never purchased anything from Scoobymania nothing said on this thread would dissuade me from doing so. A complaint was made (fairly trivial frankly) which was given a thoroughly reasonable answer by the MD (I assume?) of said company. At the same time other people have leapt to the defence of Scoobymania leaving me with the impression that the compliments outweigh the complaints. Whilst someone scanning the thread titles might raise an eyebrow at this one’s title, I don’t think anyone is going judge Scoobymania without first reading through the postings (as I have done).
Companies big and small have to realise that in this “information age” they can’t get by on shoddy service and hope that no-one else will find out. Word soon spreads if a company is short-changing people. I’m not suggesting that this is the case in this example but the fact remains that one of your customers felt he wasn’t getting the service to which he was entitled. At the same time, the response received means Scoobymania comes out looking like they’re a company that a) cares about what it’s customers think and b) is keen to rectify problems when they arise.
Whilst I don’t think this thread can go much further I think that closing it down sends all the wrong messages…
