Gashley Cole must be loving the fact the spot light is off of him for a while and he isn't considered the biggest w@nker in the EPL at present, just passed over to a team mate.
If Capello knew he would be playing Becks from the start of every game I dont think he would blink at giving him the captaincy until the end of the WC, thing is it's probably not in his plans.
I think he may offer it to Rooney at some point but not before the WC unless he feels that strongly about Terry's actions being a devote Catholic and anti abortionist (he's publicly backed the Pope on Abortion), cant see Gerrard or Rio getting it now, both struggling with injuries and the former having quite an average season himself which he openly admits.

John Terry has done nothing wrong! All football coaching manuals state that if a full back leaves a hole then it's the centre backs job to fill it!
