That actually looks outrageously rusty. I haven't seen anything like that happen before...and I've seen quite a few stainless exhausts that have been exposed to salt-riddled Danish winter roads.

My metallurgy lessons are so long ago now...13 years....can someone remind me how 304 compares to A2 and A4 stainless?
