I'm with Schuey. Drop down a cog or two, let them get very close then a few seconds of full throttle. Works most times but for those who don't get the hint, a slight application of brake pedal, to show brake light, whilst accelerating normally confirms your displeasure. Even had some prat clapping (both hands in the air) once as I pulled away.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY USING BRAKE PEDAL WITH LEFT FOOT UNLESS YOU ARE USED TO LEFT FOOT BRAKING.

If there is one of the most dangerous things possible on the road, it is pulling out to overtake someone on a single carriageway road, who then accelerates up the inside of you - you have nowhere to go but head on into any potential oncoming traffic.

It really winds me up when people do this.
