I like this idea my dash has a few marks/scratches, but I'm put off by the neffy as it's stuck on with adhesive right? n the 3M stuff is pricey, I bet u need a steady hand with the ole scalpel to

To be honest.... on flat surfaces the Neffy ain't all that bad. As long as the curves aren't too sharp, you can stretch the fabric around and behind the panels.

The best example is the interior light which is a rounded off rectangle. The real difficulty comes when you're trying to do 3D objects (like that central flip down visor).... a real pain in the @ss!

My wraps aren't perfect by any long shot but I'm very happy with whats been achieved so far. With practice I suppose I could perfect them even more.

The (limited) play I had with the 3M wrap suggested that its a lot more plasticky than the Neffy which is like a stretch fabric. The 3M wrap needs to be heated and stretched which then sets in place once cooled. The real issue for me was that the 3M stuff is just soooo much more expensive than the Neffy and if I screwed up while wrapping a piece it'd **** me right off. With the Neffy I'd just rip it off and start again.....
For external application though I'd defo use 3M. It just seems more durable.

Also, the adhesive used with the Neffy is '3M Super 77'..... you can order it from the Neffwrap.com website. After a wrap you do tend to get a little on top of the material which can be wiped away with a damp cloth. I suppose... in theory.... if you weren't happy with a wrap you could just rip it off and wipe off the adhesive with some elbow grease....

I reckon you could make a few quid doing an exchange basis for those grills mark.

Hey Guys im new to the forum just noticed this thread, i have loads of carbon bits i've done myself with the 3M material, its a great product probably the best i've used to date, just wish they would release a wet/glossy look carbon soon! Anyway there's pictures of my handywork on my gallery Low & Wide More towards the bottom I've also just wrapped my Macbook too lol.

Damn I have never come accross anything like this material in my life it really is quite something... it reacts to both heat and cold in such different ways, amazing stuff needless to say the back of my phone in now covered in it
