Carbon Fibre Vinyl
Really? I was after a textured wrap but not too keen on a 'carbon fibre' look..... What didn't you like about it?
Considering it works out to about a third of the price..... is the 3M really worth 3 times the price of an equivalent Neffy Wrap???

Not yet.... I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Its mainly going to be for internal dash parts etc.... to complement my flocked dash....
Pics will defo go up as soon as it all comes together.
Pre-wrapped dash parts would be a great idea.... I'm sure there's a market for them... especially if you do them on an exchange basis.

Jamie... that does look good.... I almost got the same thing done a few months back.
Decided to stick with matt black though in the end... Nicely finished off with some Stiffis...

Looks fantastic, really like the quality of this 3M product... a friend of mine is building an Ultima and he has covered some of the inside with this and the quality is top notch. It's great to see a carbon product that keeps the weave level instead of it running off out of shape like an old christmas jumper

Thanks all....
.... like I said, I ended up deciding on the day between a CF weave and matt black. The big decider for me was a fully wrapped E60(?) M5 which had been done in white with a CF roof and trim. It looked sweet but unless you got right upto it.... you couldn't tell it was anything other than a black roof.
Secondly, for the price of a CF wrapped roof, I ended up with a matt black roof, spoiler and wing mirrors.....
Thirdly, if I feel especially loaded one month, I can always extend the wrap for a full on matt STi look...... (as below).... drool.....

Defo love a well sorted CF wrap though....

£190 was not for bonnet, thats real.
190 was for roof and fuel flap.
i was getting quotes of £250 for just roof.
I think it costs about £100-£120 just for the material for roof so paying the rest for their skills and safe in knowledge they dont get bubbles and will redo if it messes up lol.
I can ask if interested in group buys lads? obviously need to travel to London way.
Mr Fud im glad your keeping it mate. ive seen a car fully wrapped and it looked good
