Carbon Fibre Vinyl

This stuff is the dogs! Vast improvement from the original Subaru silver plastic. I would say it's better than real Carbon Fibre and a fraction of the price.
Now, how do the circular side air vent trims come off as they're getting it next?

So does this 3M vinyl stick on with glue or does it have a peel off adhesive back?
And the vinyl i've seen on the interior parts on this thread, is it the same stuff you use on the exterior?
I would have thought it was more difficult to do something like a fiddley interior part than the likes of a flat roof, or am I wrong? It just seems not many have attempted and bonnet or roof... as thats what i'm thinking about

Ive got the roof done mate with the same stuff. its peel off.

the stuff on my roof is the same as what im using to do the inside
I wouldnt try the roof by myself as its alot of material to lose if you **** up

Heres a video on carbon-vinyl.com that gives you a rough idea how easy it is to work with: Carbon Advice www.carbon-vinyl.com

you will need a minimum of 2 to do a roof. I got a professional to do my roof as i have no experience of using it.
If your competent at using vinyl give it a go mate
it is easy to use. im going to try and do my boot i think lol

Hmmm, well i've never even seen a sheet of vinyl let alone manipulate it around corners!
... reckon i'll buy a couple of feet and do some vents as you lot have and see how I get on before even thinking about my roof!
Only reason i'm not considering a professional is that simply there doesnt seem to be anyone near Newcastle upon Tyne do help me out... would cost double inc. petrol to get down south!
Cheers

After reading this, I decided to ship in some Neffy Wrap to have a go on my carbon classic.
For a testing area I used the rear seatbelt guide (because I snapped it whilst puling the seatbelt through it
), not a bad result...once I gain some patience i'll try a few other bits...

Ive recently just done my own roof, it was such a pain in the ***.
If you have lots of spare time, and epic hair dryer and a good mate then get torn in, otherwise pay someone to do it
Heres how mine sits so far

I'm enjoying that like Rossco, did you use 3M or Neffy??
How long did ti take you to do? (the roof i'm talking about)
I'm planning a similar thing in the next couple of weeks

4 HOURS?! Hmmm, I think i'm being extremely naive about the wrapping of my roof then, think i'll problies leave it to the professionals incase I **** up a perfectly good sheet of £50 vinyl... will just stick to the interior I guess.
Cheers mate, looks the nuts

was thinking of getting my roof done, but would it look right with an ra flap?!?!? also then have the complication of trimming excess around the vent.....

Has anyone tried to do the door switches with the 3M? I'm trying to work out whether or not it will flex enough to reach down into the handle part of the console
