The whole shebang is about to get much freakier with the arrival of 'our' leaders.
Will it all collapse under its own grotesque weight?

Not much decided so far despite all the hot air

Cool

What made me laugh was them being stuck on whether they are going to limit the temp rise to 1.5c or 2c .

Considering the models they have are woefully inadequate, they think they can control the cilmate to half a degree, priceless!

Seems like the whole conference is going to hell in a handcart now - Connie Hedegaard has just quit as the president of the summit

Even Flash has said that he does not expect an agreement now.

Cool

Here is someting which show just how ridiculous this is

"There is one popular opinion, though - that Russia is a cold country and warming it up slightly wouldn't do any harm."

Russia has pledged to ensure that greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 are at least 25% below 1990 levels.

But since they are currently 34% below 1990 levels - thanks to an economic slump that coincided with the collapse of the Soviet Union - the economy can continue to grow for some time before it becomes necessary to go green.
So, the Russians can ramp up emissions by a considerable margin and still be green
