Had a nice result friday.
Billet 30 on Cj's 2.35 on 16% meth at 2bar boost 602bhp and 580lb
I have been loaned it to drive this week and will be comparing it closely to my own car which has a gt35 non billet on. Might have to put my hand in my pocket as the car is so responsive with the billet 30 on

Hi,
talk about eat my words.
earlier I said that rotated turbo's will probably be laggy on the 2.1 strokers.
Just tried a GT 30 Billet on a 2.1 stroker with a 20% meth mix and V power it made 623.9 BHP and 570 ft-lbs of torque.
spool was amazing, 1 bar at 4000 rpm, 2 bar at 4400 and 2.2 bar at 4600 and remember it would be much quicker to spool on the road.
Pity it got stuck in 5th at the scooby shootout yesterday.
graphs to follow.

the GT 30 Billet is a great rotated turbo, doesnt seem to fussy as to what cc engine its on.

With the one Simon has just done that makes 5 cars I know of that are running over 600BHP with one of these turbo's.

Well done fellas.
cheers

Hey. I am running 00 classic with stock internals and uprated gear box.Could you please list what benefits would SC36 billet bring over VF35 and ther TD05s.
Thanks a lot
Thanks a lot
depends what block really, i.e. open deck, semi closed or closed deck, the latter of course being the stronger.
We ran a rotated GT30 Billet on a 2.1 built into a 2.0 ltr closed deck block at 623.9 BHP with no problems.

cheers

VF35 has always been a good early spooler, but typically maxes at 330-340. The SC36 is good for 330-360+ on a 2L on V-Power - certainly from what I've gleaned - and with VF35-like spool up, to boot!...

Here's some useful info:-

All comes down to wonga, eh? If wonga no issue, I'd go for a brand-spanking-new SC36...
BTW, is yours a UK or WRX? Or a STi? Which uprated gearbox do you have?
<<< Bugger - there goes that nice 12,000

I drive Euro Impreza GT 2000 (LHD sucks when i want to upgrade some things like flocked dash board and quick rack).Gear box and dif i just got from G.E.A.R.S. and i hope it wont go kaboom when i show him some stick
Yeah, you really should keep the bhp for your model's engine in the 330-340 bracket (and even then expect the motor to die at some point in the future).
The VF34 can be capable of up to 360 (as is the SC36), but both can obviously be mapped to make 330+.
Therefore the logical thing would be to get the cheaper VF34... As long as it's a known good 'un (otherwise the expense of buying two shagged tubby's would be getting on for the price of the SC36, anyhow!
).

).Hi,
thanks for your input here, just one point, we have never seen 360 BHP on a VF 34, they tend to top out at around the 340 BHP mark which is why we developed the SC36 Billet, to fill the void from 340 to 360 BHP but as any subscribers to this thread are aware the SC36 Billet is a very good all rounder and in some cases produced much more than its 360 BHP rating.

Thanks again for helping out on this thread
cheers
Kev
Yeah i know i am choosing betwine something that is cheaper and might be ok and SC one that is a bit more expencive but you get what you pay(i would go straight for SC36 but just spend over 4k on her already, lol)

Hi,
as they say, " don't spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar"
or "do it once do it right".

We have had to swap out many turbo's bought 2nd hand or are nasty VF copies, not only is it labour intensive but soul destroying for the customer.

cheers
Kev
But I appreciate 340-odd is a more common figure to actually expect, in prob. circa 90% of cases.

we have just had the 33 billet wheel re designed and we are looking for a test mule.

Just a thought as your findings are always welcome.

Are you expecting the 33 billet to give more power than the 30, but with slightly worse spool? But not as much as the 35 billet, but with better spool?
Suppose that might be obviously....lol

I will map it up on the 35 non billet .82 on the dyno, Road mapped it and goes well above 4000rpm but pretty lame under, even with vvt.
Thanks
Simono
(typo or new name?)I will willingly fire a new style GT33 Billet down as soon as they arrive, they are with our next shipment due Monday next week along with the re introduced SC42 Billet.
Well done with the results on the GT30 billet.
Cheers
Kev
