scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!
No worries kev although I'm curious to what Simon knows about the blue one he is on about and if it is actually mine...... Still scared lol
Anyhow, as the word hybrid stands for nothing it's either a standard or billet version. So now the issue is when can I come up, how long do you need the car for and if it's the standard version is it possible to upgrade to the billet wheel and if so how much? Again how long do you need the car for and would it require remapping it?
Thanks in advance

with a car that new its almost got to be a billet version, we can take a look while you wait, wont take long.
Due to demand we cannot yet offer a billetizing service if its not a billet one, sorry.
cheers

ok cool that's maybe what they meant by hybrid that its a billet. best bet is to come up and let you guys take a look and have a chat over fmic options and pricing etc.
Hi,
car gave us a run around yesterday, due to having to helicoil the pas pump mounting bracket amongst other things meant we were not ready for the dyno until gone 5.00 PM, to late to start mapping as we need to spend extra time data logging as its a test turbo.
This mornings attempt at mapping showed the turbo maxed out the standard injectors straight away, off the dyno and back round to the workshop for a set of STI pinks, a fuel pump and a new rad, old rad deciding to spring a leak whilst on the dyno.
Going back on soon.
cheers

The red one in the picture had wheels on it when he set off.

I was surprised to see 5 staff managed to get here, even more surprised to see a costumer coming down the lane already sorted,
I pulled up and asked if he was OK, he said "sorted, thank you, that’s customer service" I said "and that’s customer loyalty"
Weather permitting data logging the SC32 billet on the road Monday afternoon
cheers
Kev

Hi,
they are £495.00 exchange, no exchange add £150.00.
All prices + vat.
They are a great little turbo aimed for the fella who wants that bit more power and not wanting to go to the expense of uprated clutches, Brake Callipers etc.
We have a lot of E mails from people who have had their cars mapped with a few goodies added and are at around 275 BHP and want to crack 300 BHP, the SC36 billet has evolved over the years since 2009 so much so it was to powerful for some customers requirements hence the introduction of the SC32 billet and at 331 BHP it did the job with plenty headroom.
Now maybe time for a quicker spooling smaller wheel, set it as 300 BHP max but even quicker spool........
Cheers

Thats a nice chunk of low down power! Much better than my vf35.
Quick question, what boost is that at? Mine made 325bhp with a 35, but I have fairly high compression being a late legacy GTB, would this turbo be likely to maintain my top end but with the extra low down?
Would still love to see one of these with a BB core.

been waiting on the weather to do a live data log on the road, this will tell us more accurately the spool and boost levels.
On the drawing board is an SC36 Billet BB core, due to us for testing next week.

Watch this space.

38 with BB core on the drawing board too?
Are we entering a period of turbo development where the emphasis is on quick spool rather than top end numbers?
Sounds like fun.

Spoilt for choice now! Just as I was think SC32.
So last night I finally succumbed to JGM and went with an Alcatek. All I can say is wow. I changed my inlet hose to a Perrin as the sc42 sits a little further over on the driver's side than my old 20g but I hadn't noticed a mega difference on the old ECUTek map (made 412/365).
After going Alcatek Simon extracted 432/385 out of the old girl. To say it feels quick is an understatement. The car feels bonkers, absolutely loving it, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wondering should I or shouldn't I.

Hi,
after a quick RT the SC32 billet on a non avics 2.0 ltr made full boost set at 1.35 bar just under 3000 RPM, to say its quick is an understatement, those folks looking for a quick spooling 320 ish BHP need look no further.
A welcome addition to the range which now covers 300 BHP right through to over 650 BHP./
Cheers

From: breaking 420 bhp high spec classic
Had my car mapped yesterday at rcm by Simon sc46 non avcs classic running 413 385 torque mapped safe due to needing a new fuel pressure reg so more to come only boosting 1.6 Barr nice and spooly and hard kick when kicks in
will update in a few weeks when boosting nearer 2 bar

we tested it back to back with its O/E TD04 mapped at 274 BHP, we had to change the injectors as we quickly ran out of headroom, so a set of STI pinks were added and a new walbro pump, result was from 274 to 331 BHP.
Other mods that were already done to the car were de cat down pipe, de cat up pipe and a k&n cold air induction kit.
The whole ethos of this little spool monster was to bring a turbo to the table that was good enough to make the 300 BHP club and yet not require all the other upgrades needed at 350 BHP as in brakes, clutch etc.

However on road test the SC32 billet under load in 5th gear caused the clutch to slip, bugger !!, I feel that it must be a worn unit as good condition standard clutches take more that 330 BHP
Hope that helps answer a few of your queries.
cheers
