scoobyclinics turbo's just got billet I mean better!
Hi,
since the introduction of the Billet range, part numbers have evolved, for example the SC 46 non Billet had a 46llb wheel in it, the Billet version has a slightly bigger wheel which is lighter and therefore will make more power.
It is always better to stay on the safe side to avoid dissapointment, if the SC36 Billet for example gives more than 360 bhp then everyone is happy.

Hope that clarifies things a little.
Cheers
Kev

Hi,
To keep everyone up to date here is the latest test result using our new SC46 BILLET TWIN SCROLL, Mapped.

This is a standard spec C engine, standard STI intercooler, standard headers and up pipe, only mods are induction kit, inlet pipe, full stainless exhaust, fuel pump, flow matched injectors and of course the newly re-named Syvecs ECU. All retro fitted into a classic GC8 scoob running on E 85.
This shows what can be done on a budget, turbo price £1295.00 + VAT exchange, in stock from next Friday.
cheers

1 bar of boost just after 3k and full boost before 4k
Hi,
for those interested in the SC46 BILLET TWIN SCROLL we road tested it yesterday, as stated above, and data logged it.
The turbo makes 1 bar of boost at 3100 RPM, 1.5 bar at 3500 RPM. and 1.7 bar at 3700 RPM, gearbox is a 6 speeder tests in 4th gear, on a flat road.
What a stunning road / track car
cheers

e.g. 46lb/min = 460bhp max. (potentially - given appropriate mods, etc.)
It's just one of those weird things...

Hi Kev
Appologies i have not read the post from the start but just picked up the bit that i am interested in.
SC360 for my blobeye wrx.
I have been buying and adding bits to the car and was following Andy Forests spec aiming at the 360bhp mark.
The turbo is my sticking part now. I love the car as it drives now with everything happening around the 3000rpm mark. So the big question for me is which ever turbo i go for will i still get what i have got now with the boost.
Regards to all

The age! - sod my short term memory
But still, a fantastic pointer to the regular SC46's performance....
Hi,
we feel that the SC46 Billet single scroll will give a better power figure than the twin scroll version

Its all in the wheel

We will have to wait and see
Thanks for every ones interest in this thread.
cheers
Kev
This has been/is one of the best threads.

Revealing new turbos and their objective RR results is like unravelling Christmas presents and experiencing the mystery prior to taking all the wrapping off. Probably.

Hi,
it is available now.
I would like to test one prior to releasing it for general sale, just to make sure it works as we expect, also gives us dyno results for our /your records
Cheers
Kev
Hi,
as I stated earlier in this thread something that has either an SC46 non billet or something similar, that way we can back to back it properly

Your STI, with the correct supporting mods, would be an ideal car for the SC40
Cheers
Kev

... Or is it just a happy coincidence?!
