Well guys after waiting 3 months ,finally off to bob in the morning, and not a momment to soon. The last 3 weeks has seen me not driving the car on boost and i have been passed by saxo's,clio's ,and even a ford KA had the cheek to wizz past me on the inside of the slip road.lol
I am sure bob will get the best out of the car, and my only concern is that I dont get nicked for speeding on the journey back home.lol
Once again 'nice 1' to cannon fodder and will post the results up tommorrow
Unless i am in her majesty's pleasure lol

I have no doubt that Bob will get the best possible result out of your car.
It must have been torture driving it off boost for 3 weeks I don't know if I could do it myself , mind you my turbo was only working on actuator pressure before Bob had a look at it,
It appeared that the previous Japanese owner had reversed the position of the restrictor pill so it was only making 0.9 bar boost, after Bob sorted out the pipework and mapped, it was making just over 1.55 bar boost.
It can be odd at first trying to hold the boost pressure at 1.0 bar when starting off, but you soon get the hold of it and Bob is patience pesonified and really is a gent.
Good luck tomorrow and I have no doubt you will be smiling from ear to ear after the mapping session.

Right then guys sorry for the delay in posting, but have been out enjoying the car since i got back.
Cannon fodder the good thing about driving it off boost is you get some really good mpg, bobs house was 68 miles from my front door and i managed to get there on approx £11.50 worth of tesco 99,the downside is you get passed by everything on the dual carriageway. lol
Anyway got to bobs about 08.50 (25 mins early),and he came out and introduced himself,he then started to move his cars around (nice sti).We then got my car in the garage, and bob procceded to fit the 3 point boost solenoid and attach the other eletrical items to my car ,before checking the car over ,leads, plugs ,etc .
Finally we were off on the power runs - 1st run on the dual carriageway and hitting 95mph ,only to see a speed camera wagon on the bridge .Luckily for me it was facing the other way,bob was just as surprised ,as they dont normally park up there .It was amazing watching bob on his laptop making adjustments to the map,and then we were off again for much of the same. After a good hour of this and some gear shift runs bob said the car had peaked between 325- 330 bhp,but then my lambada sensor was goosed ,so it was disconnected and we carried on .Just want to say that bob is an absolute star, and the car pulls 1.45 bar and is fast enough to rearrange your internal organs lol.It really has transformed the car ,and if you consider that the car had 215 bhp as standard and it wasn't slow,it is 50% up on the power it had when it left the factory.
Bob has posted me the data graphs and that shows 317 bhp 316 lb/ft torque, but off to subaru for anew lambda sensor so alls good.
Once again thanks to cannon fodder and big thanks to bob as the drive home took me 3.5 hours lol)

Glad to hear that all went well, and that the mapping session was successful despite the sensor problem.
Bob certainly has a couple of nice cars, like you have said he is a top bloke and certainly thorough - as I have said before nothing is too much trouble for him to ensure a good result for all concerned.
Anybody else want to save some £'s on the normal prices.

I'm interested.
Any idea what sort of gains I'd get from an STI Hawkeye with Prodrive BB, H&S Centre section and a Green Filter.
Cost, Where will I need to go to get it remmaped and price please?
Thanks

The mapping location is in the Swindon area and cost for an Ecutek remap is £470 (usually around £640) assuming your car does not have an existing Ecutek licence.
Please contact Bob directly his contact details are listed in the first post on this thread to discuss your requirements.

I have no probs sticking my neck on the line and saying : it will be the best £470.00 that you will have ever spent on a car IMHO.
I only have 1 regret and that is should have had this done 12 months ago irrespective of the price. It's not about the bhp , it's about the way the car drives, and how the power is delivered - awesome , I can not praise him enough.

I had my Bugeye WRX remapped a few years ago and loved it so I can't imagine how amazing the STi is going to feel after a remap.
Think I'm going to get Simon from Jolly Green Monster to do mine as I just found out he is 20 mins from me. Will my Prodrive BB be louder after the remap if I keep the same cat. How many cats does the STi hawkeye have?

Sorry to say it mate but the remap wont make your prodrive backbox any louder, sure the mapper can map it, so on overrun you get pops and bangs, but prodrive do not make a loud backbox ,it is merely an upgrade to the standard o/e backbox . It will flow more than the standard back box,but not as much as some good aftermarket systems.

Bump
Just a reminder that this GB ends on the 31st of March, you don't need to have had your car mapped by then only to have contacted Bob and arranged a mapping session.

Just to note that Bob upped my boost to 1.8bar at very short notice a few weeks ago meaning I could go to the 30-130 day at the weekend in full battle dress Just over 15s to 130 topping out at a true 158.6mph.

Good news for those still considering taking part in this Group Buy - I have been in touch with Bob and he has agreed to extend this GB until the end of May.
This is due to the amount of PM's I have received and those making direct contact with Bob.

Did Bob contact you?
I know it is a really good deal and a chance to have your car mapped by one if not the best in the business.
Good to hear, I am positive that you will be very happy with the result.
