Wife recently did an Audi R8 drive at Bruntingthorpe.
Plenty of pay & drive cars there. Lambos, Ferraris,
etc. Only car that didn't move all afternoon........
RS - heard a comment of; 'no, it's just a focus'
Aerial Atom didn't stop all day - £40 a lap !!

I have to work for my girlfriend's vag, but she won"t touch my bargepole so I end up having a big series of ***** in a golf.

Shame about the black, cheap looking 'Halfords accessory' afterthought at the top of the rear window. It would look much better coloured the same as the rest of the bodywork imo.

No more @ the moment Paul , but the Modding but is really starting to bite , must resist , must resist
Very very similar to be fair , i feel both the scoob & the RS are cars that can be driven very sedately to the shops & both can be complete animals once the loud pedal is buried in the carpet !!
I much prefer my RS to the scoob , but again to be fair my scoob is a 2001 model & the RS (59 Plate ) So of course the drive , instrumentation , are going to be loads better in the latter car
i certainly don't miss the noise of the scoob , though again this could be just down to me being an old boy now , the RS is rather quite until you hit the pedal & all hell breaks loose & as for the noise of the 5 cylinder it's WOW !!
Anyone who says the RS needs to be 4wd really needs to drive one , the RS puts the power down ( In the dry ) like nothing you would believe it really feels that the tyres are pulling the tarmac up out of the road , of course in wet / damp conditions like today then even with the ESP on , give it large in either 1st , 2nd , 3rd gear then the wheels will light up as it Scrabble's for grip m, but boy oh boy it's a fun fun car !!
For me the RS would **** all over my WRX ( To many bolt on goodies !! ) never driven an STI but i feel there's not alot in it , with tuning packages now ready available from many of the specialists 400bhp is not to far away , now that will be a handful !!
absolutely loving every minute of RS ownership , it's far far better that i can ever of imagined
I Just guess that i'm lucky to own both
hows the rs compare to the scooby tiny ? been a few years since i had a scoob

to be fair darren, your 2 cars are totally different
you have a 280bhp scoob that looks 500
and a 300bhp ford that looks, not bad
i hope you will prove this lot wrong and join us at brands in feb
show them that the focus is a force to be recconed with
btw, when do i get my go

Had my first experience of an RS today, admittedly in the pouring rain, but have to say it was very impressive.
Maybe more of a grown ups performance car, in that you can still easily have a conversation with minimal noise, but hit the loud pedal and it makes some nice sounds and pulls very well.
Have driven much quicker scoobs, but as a real world do everything fun car it does seem to be very very good.
Obviously i'll have to reserve final judgment until I have driven one properly in the dry. Hint, hint
