Forza 3
The main thing about this game is beating you mates hotlap times, and playing multiplayer, so its no real biggy as it has no real effect on them, once you get to driver level 50 i think the achievements stop anyway so you would have no incentive to do it unless you just want to rank up faster.
It is still a huge flaw IMO
The game seams really polished in the majority of parts, with some silly bugs that should have been fixed before release.

For me, the single player is just as important as the multiplayer, I like the challenge of beating the AI cars in races but to be able to have an unfair advantage and practically blitz through the game seems like a waste to me.
They should have nailed this down. We should have been able to do qualifying laps and the races should be longer, not just 2 or 3 laps.
I haven't taken the time to work it out but I bet rather than play with hard AI and have to upgrade your car to be competative, the extra credits you earn probably isn't anymore than if you just raced them in a standard car on medium or easy AI.

I think FM3 is going to be alot harder to make credits. FM2 i had hundreds of millions in credits but this is hard work at the minute. I just spent 300,000CR's upgrading my RS200 but im loathed to stick it in the StoreFront for 10000CRs and hope 30 people download it.
I have not been going mental with the cash (apart from the 5 or so 22b`s i bought LOL) but i have not felt like i have been short of cash so far.
I think the most expensive car i saw was only 1 million (not looked at them all yet mind), and i think i have around 1.5mill in the bank, so i can buy pretty much whatever i want at the moment, i have not really felt the need to buy loads of cars because it seams to throw half decent cars at you once you get to level 20 or so anyway.
Raced with an R3 Corvette this morning, i was expecting it to be crap and it was actually pretty damn controllable, easier to drive then the Flying Lizard Porsche

The single player for me is just about learning the circuits and getting some cars together. The fun starts when the tuning and hotlaps start. Started playing with just the auto clutch as an assist so I hope to get assist free within a few weeks.
Biggest complaint so far is the AI is really easy. Need another level above hard to make the single player worth while.
I completed the speedway C425 race events ..... what a load of kak that was My S5 flat out for 8 laps of hardcore circle driving.

Ive bitten the bullet and stuck my S700 RS200 in the StoreFront for 10,000credits.

I'm trying to get to grips without the assists, I found the clutch button fiddly though, I might try and move it up to a bumper.
What night/time's good for you lot to get online and thrash a few Impreza's around then? I'm currently modding my 22B in preperation
I'm turning it into a rusty chav bucket
Has anyone got any drift tips/set ups? I'm nowhere near that 100,000 achievement!

I thought it was on the left bumper anyway? That's why I couldn't get on with it cause braking at the same time at using the clutch is a nightmare (for me).

No banter about laptimes yet ?
I noticed there are 4/5 Holden v8 supercars in the game
we really need to have a stock v8 champ race in future with no tcs. That would be great fun drifting those bad boys around

I'm a tad confused now.I've just tried the mile drag strip again with the Veyron and the 'shifting' is set to 'manual w/clutch', but it lets me change gear just by pressing 'x' or 'b', I don't need to hold down anything else
Surely if you choose manual with the clutch you would need to press the clutch to change the gear or is it letting me do clutchless gear changes? If so then what's the point in that feature?
I thought the fact that the 'a' button was letting me do it meant that was the clutch
I don't get it!

You get them for a slide past a certain angle. You get the points at the same time as racing, if you press left on the D pad it changes the lap time to drift points.
If you've ever played PGR then it's the same thing to get the kudos points.

its just hasn't blow me away like forza2 yet. I've done about 4/5 races and it already repeated a track or two.
