Thumbs up Forza 3

Firstly, if you haven't yet pre-ordered it then Game and Gamestation still have it on their website at £34.99 delivered for release day. I phoned up and they said it was currently showing up at £45 in store but would probably retail at £39.99. I've just ordered my copy online.

Secondly, if you are going to be playing this then lets start a Forza 3 Gamertag list. I know that there's already a generic Gamertag list but chances are half of those users don't come on here or have a 360 anymore and the rest probably won't play the game.

I'll be up for a few online races but please go easy on me.

Feel free to add mine, i'm 'Mr Slithers'

Neanderthal1976
I've been hammering the demo and managed to get to the top of my friends list
mini- 01:13.259
evo- 01:10.660
Ferrari- 01:08.164
R8- 01:04.650
I haven't really bothered with the race car cause I don't like driving them (didn't enjoy them in F2 either)

I paid 13quid for my Need for Speed Shift, and will be trading this in against forza, so i will get a good deal anyway from my local games shop

GT : Sticky Owens

i have a few of the usual suspects still on my list from the forza 2 days, so if something is going down, hook me up

I only did a couple of races before the baby started crying. Too early to tell but I loved Forza 2 so this shoul be just as good, if not better. Gfx look great and there's more tracks and cars this time.

I like it!
It's like Forza 2's been cleaned, tarted up and had a few new features thrown at it. The whole game feels very fresh and plays very smooth

I like the rewind and auto brake function for newbs (but I don't use them) but I do use the 'quick tune' option where it looks at your car and how much cash you have and then suggests an upgrade package.

Has anyone else made their car yet?

Keep adding me, i'm looking forward to a few Subaru only online races when everyone has a copy.

Had a quick go last night. Not bad at all. Much like Forza 2 but with tarted up gfx, better handling, and extra tuning options. Definitely feels much more realistic than GT5 prologue. Will be interesting to compare against the full GT5 next year.

Not sure where I can find the "limited edition" cars in the game though? I've downloaded them, but I can't see any evidence of them...

Damn, my friends list was full of Forza3 people last night, while i finished off NFS Shift

I assumed it was out now, and have just been round the local games shop for them to tell me its not in stock till tomorrow

I put some extra effort in last night as well just to get to rank 50 on shift so i could trade it in against Forza

Most preorders were posted early to avoid the postal strike. That's why we got it early

I enjoyed it to be honest, the reviews on metacritic are pretty accurate, the controls need setup before you play though as they are defaulted in a very twitchy way.

Not sure why they would default them like that, cockpit view is awesome once you start getting into the faster cars, especially when everything goes blurry at speed i had 25quids worth of argos vouchers, so my NFS Shift only cost me about 12 quid, and the plan all along was to trade it in/tide me over until it was Forza-time

The problem with Shift, is that its a game worthy of 35-37quid IMO but not when something like F3 comes along, the forza demo was miles more impressive then my copy of shift, maybe if shift had of came out 6 months ago it would have sold better.....

I noticed after you enter the code it says something like you have to buy with in game credits?

I've tried a number of times to use the clutch, upshifts are fine but I can get the hang of downshifting cause if I use my left index finger then the middle finger needs to do the braking and it's just like if you jump in your car and try and use your left foot to brake.... all wrong, press it too hard or not enough

Yeah i had that trouble with the demo, i could go up the gears fine, but coming back down and trying to blip the throttle was overloading my brain, and i was crashing a lot
