Yeah i got my update yesterday, i played a little before i went to work in the morning and had no update, i came home from work and started playing again at around 11am and the update popped up.

 

Maybe it had something to do with a glitch i've spotted. Every so often the rev counter and sound get stuck on down shifts.


I feel a tad disapointed by this game if i'm completely honest. I feel as though it looks better tham FM2 but the car's handling seems to have been dulled down.

 

Something that's bothered me with both Forza 2 and 3 is that you don't get the chance to qualify for the race. You're always stuck near the back. Ok it's never usually that much of a challenge getting past the slower cars but if it's a race on a new track then you the first chance you get to go round the track is in the frenzied first lap
of the race (as you try to thread through the
pack without damaging your car!)

 

Just keep racing and clocking up them credits + it's good that you get given a car as you progress through each race stage,I just modded the Audi R8 and a new paint job..

Sorry mate I was a bit short, but I was still annoyed from the disappointment. Well you can't choose to create a hosted public game its in the lap of the gods if it happens......the feedback on the official forum is very critical of this decision but I'm keeping the game for now in the hope they do patch it by allowing private games to be open for joe public to enter if the host of the private game so chooses...

Its all very well Turn10 saying "it will develop and its early days but this should have been highlighted and thrashed out in UAT and not been an issue post implementation"

They have a month and if they haven't addressed it by then, well the game gets traded in for something I can have fun with

Having said that, I've still not managed to get an online game on FM3 yet!

 

Some of my motors. Enjoying the game but haven't ventured online yet due to work commitments, keep selling cars and designs though. Does any one know why there is a s204 to race against but you cant purchase one?

Found another glitch

"Elite AWD open" event = class restriction A
It let me enter it with an R3 modified Veyron

You can imagine just how easy that was

 

FM2 was never this glitchy!? Have they rushed it out?
The only really bad thing I can remember with FM2 was that you could upgrade a lotus that was insanely fast but still remained in a low category thus making ankockery kf the hotlap times.

 

I had a "sticky throttle cable" style downshift last night.

R3 Flying Lizard Porsche in one of the R3 world events, i suspect the car is a little underspec for the race as it was quite a hard event to win, the rubberbanding that the AI drivers seam to use when you are ahead was not needed, this porshe was all over the shop most of the time none of this assist nonsense, the only assist i use is the auto clutch (but i use manual gears), traction control is for pusscakes

I went into a corner on the last lap and the throttle seamed to "stick"

Just installed the additional tracks/cars etc from disc 2, swapped back to disc one when asked.

I got sent to a test track with the R8 and then it killed my 360
Three red flashing lights. What a *******!

 

That's just a standard feature of the 360. Not down to the game!

 

It'd never happened until the game went anywhere near the 360

 

Must have been the game then!

 

The allowing you to run the event in a higher calss car looks like a glitch but I think it's part of the game. looks like it doesn't credit you with the completion of the event in te list if yor not in the correct level car.

on a side note. just had my first ever RROD on my launch day console. GFX went into lines that I noticed whilst playing F3 then it hung. Boot up freezes at differn't points now and brings up three red lights

only thing that's bugging me is the lap time penalty system taking the pi$$ and awarding random lap faults ??

 

Ive had a few random lap faults too. Hopefully the updates will keep coming, ironing out the few glitches there are.

 

only 3 years warranty for RROD .... arghhhh WTF

 

I think the random lap faults are if the AI driver is drafting you.....


Wonder if the event not showing up due to the wrong class car, is part of the recent patch as a kind of stopgap

it seams absurd to have it in the game properly IMO

 

Just checked and i have a tick in the box for "AWD Elite open" so i would assume my Veyron was OK!!!


Maybe the fact that yours did not work was another glitch PMSL

Just about to enter the Porsche Club event (class S) with a R3 racing car so i will do a controlled experiment lol

 

Yup, now got a tick for the Porsche club event as well

 

Do you still get the same amount of credits as you would normally get for completing it in the right class car?
