Here's the dreaded diary of events Dan.
A summary of the failures:
Original engine: Main bearing failure due to me holding it flat out for too long.
2nd engine: Piston ring lands broken off, due to not coping with 1.5 bar of boost even though i was told it would. Only needed pistons replacing really, but i opted for a full forged rebuild to ensure reliability.
3rd engine: Covered 3000 miles then failed due to suspected crank walk, something which the early engine were prone to due to having a centre bearing instead of rear thrust bearing.
4th engine: Oil pump failure after 180 miles, due to the anti friction coating being worn off the oil pump components, caused by foreign objects/debris from the previous failure.
5th engine: Covered 370 running in miles so far. I'm keeping a very careful eye on the knock reading until it can be remapped. So far all readings are very low, 14 being the peak reading on the Apexi.
If it fail's again, my love for Subaru's is finished.

You've had some journey mate, I was all set to give up when my first one went!! Sooo glad I didn't!! I'm glad I made the decision and travelled to use an engine builder!!
Can't the Apexi support ALS??

Good to see she is back, remember BHP is not what you should be striving for, Chassis, Chassis, Chassis, then some more, EX-TC is the way forward.
