I saw it, i wasn't offended in the slightest. I guess i have to acknowledge the argument that insults in jest are just as damaging, but i just don't see it like that, never have.

 

So we're not really discussing the 'line' here; we know disparagement is wrong.

"Why are people crossing the line?" is the real discussion.

I made my feelings known about insulting comments about innocent people on the "Fat" thread. Even in jest such comments can be offensive to some and are not acceptable.

ignorance is the most shocking attribute for me. people thinking an offensive label is acceptable and who really can't see why it is offensive.

 

been watching this thread now for some while, and my conclusion is this
leave us scousers alone- our city has come a long way in the last 10 or so years !! tbh, it offends me. but for everyone else though- fair game

 

and leave us fat peoples alone as well

Certain rules apply here, you cant just call yourself a scouser.

And for the record I call Police officers Bizzies, I dont like calling Police Pigs, my friend keeps Pigs as Ive mentioned before, they are really nice animals, good for cleaning up.

Sometimes I may say " You jobsworth **** " under my breath of course, this is after Traffic measured the spaces on one of my plates with a 6" steel rule.

And said whilst tutting, and shaking his head " 6 milli out that mate, cant let that go. "

By the way whilst your on, is it illegal to take a photo of an officer on your mobile whilst he is cautioning you ?

I dont think it actually is, but they dont like it much.
