Did your Nan have any other recognisable connection to this occurrence, like she used to keep setting car alarms off or something? Because if she didn't, all you have is your Mam with a white sheet over her head going "Woooooo!!!" :

And your Nan probably died at 3.30, or 2.45 or summat.

Kinell.
the last thing on my mind at 3.30 am freezing my bolocks off in a cold garage was coincidence. i find this story more falable than the one where a man in the clouds with a white beard makes people out of nothing and takes us all up to a magic land up in the sky when we die . if people can sit and swallow that one then my story is quite believable

I find it interesting that so few people will accept the existence of a God but so many have had some kind of ghostly experience, including myself!

I will accept a god when there is evidence of one. I have had unusual experiences that I cannot fully explain, but I am happy to call them just that, there are plenty of natural things I can't explain, but I don't find the need to attach a supernatural label to those either.

The most recent odd thing that happened to me was when i had put my son in his playpen while i went to wash my hair. I was upstairs and with the water sploshing i couldn't hear a thing.I was merrily getting on with it when someone/something yelled my name really close to me, i jumped massively in surprise and my immediate thought was my baby downstairs. He had wrapped his blanket round his neck and was struggling to get it off, it was a dangerous situation for him.If i had waited until i had finished and not dashed downstairs it possibly would have been really bad.

I happen to believe in all this stuff. People may have other explanations for me hearing my name shouted but thats ok.

OllyK,

It was just an observation of course and we are all entitled to believe what we want, at least so far anyway. Don't think anyone can prove God's existence or not, depends how people feel about it personally.

Made a thread myself, but thought having been pointed at this one and spent a good hour reading all the posts I would bring this one back
