who me? i posted that? i may have but don't remember doing so. i don't think there's another explanation for what i've experienced, and i don't think i want there to be either. i'm quite happy as it is.

Not ghostly but a fantastic co-incidence.
When I was about 5 I photocopied the palms of my hands and my father framed it and gave it to my mother. It was very sweet - 2 little palms on a black background on the bedroom wall next to my mothers side of the bed.
Anyway, 20 years later my parents had moved overseas and I was living in Worcester. The picture was now located on my parents new bedroom wall. One Saturday morning while playing rugby I fell badly and broke my wrist. I eventually got home from hospital late that evening to find about 10 messages from my mother on the answerphone (pre mass mobile useage days).
Later we calculated that both events had happened at the same time. You've guessed it - at the point when I broke my wrist, the picture had fallen off the wall and the frame and glass broke on the floor. My mother sensed something had odd had happened and tried to call all day!

i dont believe in the whole 'ghosts' thing, nor do i disbelive, but there are a few things that have happened that are a bit difficult to explain.
id had a **** day and went to my room and listened to a c.d of songs that remind me of my dad. i was laying on my bed having a good old cry (as you do!) when i felt a really strange sensation on my back, cold but soft at the same time which made my hairs stand on end. the feeling was nowhere else but the area where my angel tattoo is that i had done in memory of my dad...
my uncle has an 18month old son who like to wake up nice and early in the morning. i was staying there last week and cameron (the baby) woke up at 3am crying. being that i was sleeping in his room i decided to get up, take him downstairs and get him a bottle. i put him down to get the milk when he walked into the next room and threw his arms up in the air as he does when he wants to be picked up, but there was nobody there to do so cos i was the only one downstairs... he stood there for a few minutes with his back to me and his arms in the air as if there was somebody there. not particularly spooky, but thinking about it afterwards, the cottage was built in the 1600's or something stupid...

Great thread! ever get to the bottom of this **************?
I had an oddball and somewhat vivid dream last night about a guy who broke into my parents house (I wasn't even staying there!) robbed all my pc kit (and more importantly my bag containing my comedy scripts, these are very important to me), then came back the next day, I knew he'd robbed all my gear, but he asked for a hug!? so I gave him one, then he stabbed me in the nose with a pin and started saying PDM? or something like that, implying that this pin was laced with something negative.
This was all as my brother watched from the sofa of course...! Anyway, being as you do I ended up cutting his throat and I believe attempting to remove his windpipe with a pair of scissor blades.
Anyway, for some reason this all reminded me of this thread, that I had saw years ago, but was too s*** scared to read all of it! I now have!

well just to relight this thread again, last night we went to a local elizabethan house that is supposedly haunted ,anyway its a very large house and when we got there no lights on at all, watched at the top window and a shadowy figure appeared, thought nothing of it as we thought it may be the owner, anyway short while later a large dog appeared in the centre of the garden as if from know where, surprisingly we ran back to the cars and bolted on leaving all the lights in the house were out and the garden was dead still, now either this place is haunted as there have been a few other strange incidents whilst there or it is an extravagant prank as according to google the premises is occupied by a film production compny, i am going back there tonight after dark to see what develops as i wonder if being a film company may have interest in special effects!

i find it preposterous that in this day and age, educated and rational people can still believe in the supernatural...i equate it to religion (whole other discussion)...i am a skeptic of the highest order, but would never completely discount anything, but i would have to see it to believe it...however, i will say that if possible i would like to have a significant supernatural experience if only to know that there was in fact more to life than death...

First off..i am a major sceptic and i mock programs like most haunted but coincidences can be just a little close for comfort.
I have had a couple of ghostly goins on in my life. i shall tell you the one involving my car. i had an mr2 turbo and every night would pop it in the garage, alarm it..lock the garage.. well..im in bed and i can hear an alarm going off in the middle of the night.i sit up and i think..nah that sounds too far away to be my house alarm and then it dawned on me..it was my car alarm.
so i plod downstairs half asleep..go into the garage adjoined to the house and as you can imagine..the sound is deafening. im there in my pants trying to turn the alarm off with the key fob and its having non.grab the other key fob..zilch!! so i have to get under the bootlid and muffle the siren with a towel while trying to get up front to disconnect the battery. battery off..alarm still going!! over an hour im there trying not to wake every neighbour up in my street and then the alarm goes quiet. i call my mum to tell her the ordeal as there was no way i was going back to sleep with 100 db ringing in my ears and she is just sat quiet at the end of the phone. i ask whats up and says what time did the alarm go off? 2.30 pretty much on the button i said as i looked at the clock. she then informed me my nan had died at around 2.30 am 2 years to the day. talk about cold shivers!!! the alarm never missed a beat again.

Heard a lot about ghostly experiences since i was a child.Dont want to have one coz i am a chicken or shall i say- a very earthy/earthly person. Clywd,Wales where i live has a history of ghosts and I am a friend to an author called Richard Holland who has written a lot of stuff about haunted clywd based on other's experience. We have various visiting places in North Wales where the evidence of spirits etc exists and still can be experienced.I am keen to visit those places out of curiosity.

I was going to say these apparitions are clearly the product of a disturbed mind.
I spent 6 months alone in a 7 bedroom house in essentially the middle of the forest in which a relative had done hereself in. Now if there had been potential for spooky goings on this was it.............nowt

Did your Nan have any other recognisable connection to this occurrence, like she used to keep setting car alarms off or something? Because if she didn't, all you have is your Mam with a white sheet over her head going "Woooooo!!!" :
And your Nan probably died at 3.30, or 2.45 or summat.
Kinell.

Jokes apart, there could be truth or there may not be.I value the life more than after-life.It sums it and if some people have had some experiences when they were in perfectly normal state of mind,it is bound to create curiosity about the existance of spirits and ghosts.
