I think this is the car Paul mentioned on my build thread.
Is this block a strengthened EJ257 (inserts around the bores)?

This is what I'm having done at the moment as my block is with Zen as I write this. Cosworth internals, ported avcs heads with Cosworth S2 cams and a front mounted GT35R. All this is going into a V3 Type R so it should be quite lairy when its done

Well done on the car Banny I bet its awesome in the flesh.
What injectors are you using?
Might come along and see it in action at Elvington this weekend

The car uses modified 380cc injectors that will flow up to 900cc at 4 bar fuel pressure, fingers crossed that the car will be ready to go by the weekend.

We ended up with a pair of heads that were origionaly destined for zens race car,
these have cosworth cams avcs ported ect its fairly drivable for such a big spec car, after such a build you would expect teething problems ther most we had was a ic pipe blow off bigger clamp job done and its been trouble free
a real credit to Zen

In the words of Darth Vader, impressive... now get it up the strip and lets see what it can do

Should it be a sub 10's at this level of tune?

Should be capable of 10s but to get it to sub 10's would mean extensive weight loss and quite possibly more power.

Best of luck Banny, the kind of power you have should see you well into the mid to low 10's.

Low 10s I would of thought - mid 10s is achievable to low to mid 500s

Keep us posted

Did not make it to the strip due to supporting a friend at a bodybuilding contest over the weekend. Will endeavor to make it to the next event and put some times down before the close of the season.

Banny, Hi bud, its Jim from over the MLR, how reliable are the scoobs at this state of tune mate? Hows the diff, tranny box etc cope with all that power?

Awesome spec and nice quality parts, not much been skimped on, if anything at all, bet it doesn't want to stop with that built gearbox

Hi Jim "that car" is trying to out do this power graph Everything is holding up fine, though the gearbox is on borrowed time as it was never intended for this power level.

However the long ratios are awesome as once the power is in, it is a non stop roller coaster ride but will be removed shortly for a uk hawkeye 6 speed dccd box, which will have the dccd controlled through the solaris ecu.

The diff, shafts are all coping fine as it runs the R180 back end with the bigger diff and thicker driveshafts.

I think he'll have major problems even if he gets around your figures, those gt35's just eat ancillaries, one reason ive opted for a gt30, that little bit more forgiving on the diff and transmission.

hats off to you mate, can't be that many with this power used as a road car, are you going to be doing a lot of trackdays etc, if you don't already mate?
