Hero, I was there today at about 13:00hrs just to see if it was really busy. It was but as you say, there was plenty of parking 
Who knows dude, i might have walked right past you on the way to the bogs
As a foot note (at the top
) Cos the sun was out, there was a healthy contingent of bikers there most of which admired the scoob as we drove off They appreciate quick things

Mikey, have you advised PLOD yet? I think they need to know formally as 200 cars arriving at about the same time is gonna be a traffic nightmare!
I know the car park is enourmous but 200 may just be a bit of a push if the weather is nice and the locals are out. We may need marshals to direct people into the car-park etc.
Gunthorpe is only a little place after all!

I know everybody is up for a good time, but I would suggest you inform the police as mentioned above. But also specify some rules re noise, behavouir and maybe allocate some marshalls who have to be obeyed if they request moving of cars etc .... Otherwise this could generate bad publicity if one or two individuals decide to be different ! I am sure the majority would not cause problems or have a problem with this.
Perhaps you could get everybody to sign up to it by email say ?
Plus are there are insurance issues with this.

If you go ahead with the Marshalling idea I can get hold of some reflective police type vests/jackets and would be willing to help out. With 200 cars probably an idea to inform the Police.
Been said before but we need to prevent any maxpower type behaviour from spoiling the event.

Yeah I think it's a good idea about setting the ground rules before hand - it'll only take one looney to ruin the day for everyone and cause us loads of grief in the future. It might be a good idea to do a list of cars and drivers as people turn up.

OK Police have been informed by phone, e-mail and letter and invited to pop along. Nothing to hide type of approach
The subject of marshalls, It sounds like a good idea in theory but in practice i don't think that a dedicated team of parking attendants will be required. Parking will need to be quite tight admittedly however, a little common sense will see that the car parks don't become hellish
All the car parks have a seperate entrance and exit so there shouldn't be too much blocking in going on, however inevitably it'll happen
If you want to move ya motor and you are blocked in, you could go into the pub and shout "EXCUSE ME, Anyone got a scoob?" )
Hero, re asking for a private pub for a couple of hours, she said 'fraid not, she's done that once and 10 people turned up!! I tried telling her but she said no. Fair enuff.
Spoke to Carlton TV today re coverage (Actual Producer Dude ) who sounded all keen but couldn't promise a tv crew. Asked me to e-mail the details and suggested that there shouldn't be a problem seeing as it was a sunday and nothing interesting ever happens on one of those
E-mailed a few magazines aswell waiting for thier confirmation. EVO magazine are apparently looking for a Photographer who is availiable on that day and prepared to make the journey.
Regards issuing a "Code of conduct" for the day, I think what i will do is on Sunday, Post a thread with all the do's and Don'ts on it. I know that CharlieWhiskey will put some sort of disclaimer on the route maps. I firmly believe that peer pressure will be the best form of policing i.e if someone wants to behave like a loon, 199 owners all calling him a prat should sort him out
Finally, once again, can i take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support especially the mini meet organisers that have been sorting out meeting places for you all to travel to "THE BIG ONE" and also everyone who has offered their services with other "admin"
