On my classic I had 80 series PIAA's and I used Northmoor Lane in Cottingham to set them up, as it's exactly one mile dead straight and level, with a double chevron at the end.

1000FF are even better with HID !

I've never managed to "catch" an accurate image of how good they are, as your eyes out perform most cameras in low light.

P.S. Now you've got the spread, now you'll need a pair of pencil beam units too ! Will a longer exposure help the long range "bit" to be more obvious, whilst over-exposing the close-up "bit".

The longer exposure would help Im sure, but then it'll make em look better than they could possibly ever be.

Once I've aimed them down from the trees a little, Im sure they'll be even better.

Check that the "bulbs" are seated in the reflector mount correctly first !

Mine move about a bit - it's bumpy out there....

P.S. Fancy Holme Moss in the mist one evening ?
