Hi Deep, no not really, I worked on the brands and events for some of these companies over the years...
Ice cream franchise, subway franchise, starbucks franchise, pizza hut franchise, chocolate franchise - Start a Franchise
McDonald's
Become part of a modern and progressive brand, Becoming a McDonald's franchisee is not for everyone. It's a long term commitment. You'll need significant financial investment combined with a hard working and hands-on approach to running a customer-orientated business.
Bung in KFC as well, i am sure Martin will not mind
You are really generalising, i know and have met plenty of people erning min wages or just above it survive and keep their head above water for them and their families. Not all middle class or working class smoke, play the lottery or drink themselves stupid all the time. Bit like claiming all Asians run shops really

Are you suggesting that these business throw out their workforce double salaries and employ the home grown talent?
What happens to the price of burgers then, oh hang on we're back to it being a market again, yes that's right the consumer (who ultimately decideds) goes away and the bsuiness fails, and everyone gets fired...it's great logic if you're thinking of the nations health, but not if you're thinking about its wealth

It's reliant on *cheap* labour. This brings us back to the old argument of benefits versus working again. And the benefits culture has to be eradicated at the same time. How about you need to pay your stamp (i.e. work and contribute to the tax system) for several years BEFORE you get any benefits? That would sort out the benefits culture AND stop all the economic migration.

As for scare stories .... Over 80 Percent of New Jobs Created in the UK go to Foreign Workers
"... A recent British research publication claims that 80.6% of all new job created in the country since 2001 have gone to non-citizens ..."
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/j...cord-high.html
"... Non-UK born workers now account for one in seven jobs after more than 1.8 million foreigners were added to the UK labour force over the last decade ..."
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/j...bs-market.html
"... The number of workers taking advantage of 'intra-company transfers' has increased by almost half in four years. The system allows international companies to transfer their staff to the UK for supposedly limited periods of tim ..."
No problems with immigrants but with the Labour systems in place that mean that companies can quite legally hire foreign workers. Sorry, but in my book, and everybody I speak to, when Flash says 'British jobs for British workers' he should mean it. None of this 'jobs must be advertised in the job centre for 2 weeks beforehand' b*llux! Sort out the benefits system (as above) and restrict migrants to those that can sustain themselves or specialised jobs where there really IS a shortage (total cap in place as well!).
Yes I know, we have to act within EU law but guess what? We need a referendum on our membership of that as well. Out please .......!

But these business are paying the minimum wage, the franchise arrangement are just a red herring, they will be contractually obliged to obey UK employment law and that includes the minimum wage.
Are you suggesting that these business throw out their workforce double salaries and employ the home grown talent?

All companies are oblidged by law to mae full and thorough checks that prospective employees are entitled to work in the UK - Yet some still do not, FACT!
People in the Uk are prepared to work for minimum wages - FACT obviously they would like more but this is the case.
are you actually saying all fast food outlets are staffed by illegals earning min or less wages because they cannot get anybody else or 'we' would all boycott maccy d's assuming the burgers went up 20% fan-bloody-tasic if you are that is ludicrous to say the very least
as for your "Double the salaries", why not trebble or quadrouple for the lazy locals!
Are on a different planet? i have worked with people earning 6.00 per our in call centres, just to get by, same goes for food franchises/catering industry, they pay what they can get away with, some will employ illegals run the risk and pay less to the employee and to the tax and ni even though you believe otherwise. Double salaies to get uk workers interested and off thier lazy good for nothing backsides, do you live in or have ever lived in the UK Martin?
I am done with this, perhaps you should try a slice of real life...

Mustafa. Question for you. The women who walk around with the pillar-box veils on. You know the ones. Covered head to toe except for their eyes.
Why are they in the UK if their beliefs are obviously so rigidly Islamic? Why not go and live in an Islam country? What does the UK offer that their home countries do not?

I have not mention illegals once on this subject so where you are getting that from I know not...please explain?
I think you might be saying that all migrant workers in london are working for below the min wage (is that right?)
I think you need to re-read my posts, or turn your PC off and have a lie down, because your comprehension skills are not up to there usual standards this evening

Seriously though, that must be the cheapest of cheap shots.
btw you are making the old SN mistake of confusing moderate view for a left wing one. I know that being moderate places me miles to left of the SN political spectrum (hence your dumbass comment)

Easy to say when they haven't imported their country's lifestyle into the UK, lock stock and barrel. C'mon Trout, pleeeease stop hanging on this tenuous historic validation for the segregated society we now endure.

Just spent the best part of my night reading through this and watching videos about the BNP.
I will state this is only my view and i dont reguard myself (nor does anyone that knows me) as being rascist.
I think the way the government, be it labour or conservative, has handled immigration in this country the past good few years has bred the bad feeling that some of more established in the country now have on immigrants/asylum seekers, be they black, white or anything else.
On that note i can see where the BNP are coming from on this, they are only doing what any other political party does to get votes and that is their trying to capitalise on the previous failings and short comings.
I dont agree that it's dont using violence but i do think that for it to stop we do need to take a very right wing view now and then possibly loosen up abit once the country and those in charge regain some proper control. Then and only then, start operating on a points system as mentioned so the risk of it getting out of control in the future is minimised.
I think this could also be their (BNP) thinking with reguard not letting non white's etc into their party, i wonder if that would change if they got into power to be a bit more relaxed eg if your family had been in the country for X generations or similar.

Morris dancing is one of those old traditions of course which is entertaining to watch and pretty difficult to do as well.

[quote=FlightMan;9021016]BP Petrol stations. The English language. And buses.
My local BP is now fully staffed by people from God knows where. It is impossible, and I mean impossible, to understand one word of what any of them say. The pumps weren't working a few days ago. a guy from the shop comes out and talks to me and another fella. " What ?" I ask. He repeats himself. "What are you saying?" I say again. He repeats himself again. I look at the guy at the next pump. "Do you understand what he's saying?" "Not a word of it" he says. We both drive off to Esso. Are you listening BP?
Bus drivers in Guildford are now all foreign. No-one understands a a word they say. Paying for a fare is now a test, akin to 11+. They pull away before people are seated. OAP's flying all over the buses. It's a disgrace.
Local McD's is staffed with Chinese, same issue. You ask for a Big Mac, and get a Chicken burger. It's wrong, wrong I tells ya!
WTF is going on?
Bloody Marvelous, next time ask for a chicken burger and see if they give you a Big Mac...

yes it was, to be totally honest, politics is something thats never really interested me to much, for a start it has no engine lol, just that this has been so public and debated recently.
I think as has been said before if either BNP properly sorts themselves and their policies out or one of the other big parties takes a harder line on immigration then they will be the ones next elected. I dont think i know of anyone that thinks we should still be letting more people into this country at the moment, especially with the current climate .
