Well you never know what extra's was ordered when new. Mine is a 94 WRX RA, Ive got the lightweight panels (bonnet, boot) but no roof vent, I dont have a IC Water Cooler but i do have A/con, Electrics, DCCD and a Close ratio short gearbox... Mine never had the pillow arial but a electric one in the boot, I to have changed the front end but kept the V1 bonnet but had V2 headlights fitted and a one off new grill made so it all fitted perfect.... Just a shame it came with the **** brakes..

No such thing as a lightweight boot fella. As for extras, both my WRX RA and STI RA also had aircon.

FMIC fits fine with the aircon fitted, no need to remove it.

Genuine Type RA....

1995 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti type RA on eBay (end time 16-Sep-09 19:51:59 BST)

1996 Subaru Impreza Sti type RA on eBay (end time 15-Sep-09 10:14:22 BST)

Not an RA, and oh dear, the owner covered it in superglue and drove through halfords, one to steer clear of!

1996 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI TYPE RA IMPORT (NO RESERVE) on eBay (end time 16-Sep-09 21:48:36 BST)

My rally car was a MY93 WRX RA with GC8-A47D
It had a pillar aerial, 5th injector, non painted inlet manifold, manual windows etc. so the white one is a WRX RA - its NOT an STi.

The 2nd one is a Version 2 STi 555 ltd. edition - its NOT an RA

welcome to the RA minefield

there are many a myth about the ra,
i to found this out when i brought my 93 wrx type ra,I have finally got all my facts correct on them due to one siteType-RA.co.uk - Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA, Impreza WRX STi Type RA, Impreza Type RA V Limited, Scooby V. Ltd, visit the WRX forum & Subaru forum
and since have built my own impreza info site SUBARU IMPREZA TYPE RA - impreza type ra .com

have a look mate there are plenty of helpfull ra owners on both sites,

great impreza to own imo the rawest of all the imprezas, the earlier the year the closer the final drive will be the early versions reach about 120mph as the years go on the 5th got slightly longer allowing upto 150+ but still with the same great acceleration from the close ratio box.

enjoy which ever model you own you will not be disappointed

regards nathan.

hello rooferman nice to see you again yesterday even if it was brief that was some 0-60 time mate,RA all the way!!!!

Such a fresh air to drive being standard, think maybe some Tein lowering springs and brakes, as the 2 pots are a bit weak! Loving it though

Oh, never mind

[IMG]http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww277/jackthebear2009/ra001.jpg[/IMG

I checked out while viewing, with 2 well known sources off here, and both seemed happy with it being a STI RA VII, applied model GC8C4ED, roof vent,i/c spray, quick rack, cdb ect.

Either way i am very happy with what i paid for it, and its originality and most of all, the guy i bought it from had an impeccable port folio, and was a perfectionist

Seriously though guys, i am not questioning how well educated you lot are (compared to me) with the minefield of variants, but i did do a wee bit of research, link below shows a v-ltd with rear wiper

It is a sti 555 v-limited. An sti ra model code would end DD and not ED. Does it have DCCD?.
