Not worth 4k for turbo, built block, headers, injectors and heads?
Buy all them bits seperate and see what it costs.
Dont know Micky but its easily worth 3.5-4k with reciepts for all that.

Totally agree......Worth that all day long considdering age etc.. Having just bought lots of bits for my engine build (not same spec etc) I know what things cost and you would easily be looking at 6k+ easy to do a similar build...
To put the bits together on my 'standard' engine to get to circa 370bhp has cost me about £2500-£3000; MD321H, sti8 intercooler, fuel pump, ecu+mapping, 550 injectors, induction kit, fitting..............
That means you're getting a built 2.5 for arounf £1500 - almost too good to be true.
Worth it all day long when you do the sums. Good luck with the sale (if only I had the money).

Hope your not on about me here mate, it was my opinion to say that i thought i didnt think it was worth 4.2k as i would expect a 2.33 for that sort of money thats all.
I do know the prices involved in a rebuild as can get the parts from USA at a good price.
Was not slagging your price at all just giving my opinion.
Bttt for ya anyhow and hope you get the 4.2k your after
i dont want this to turn into a row as all i want to do is sell my engine. yes i was on about yourself as you can see other people thought you were taking the p--s offering that amount.
i understand that everybody is entitled to there opinion but people like me would like you to keep them to yourselves.
if you make some enquiries on building a 2.35 you will find out that it would cost you a lot more than £4000. for example probaley close on £2000 for a set of ported and polished vvt heads with cams and solid valves, lifters, shims, labour, then you have got to get a block have it machined to suit your parts ie pistons, rods, crank sump and everything else that needs to go with it, you might want to think about getting it all built then putting a £2000 turbo on it including up pipe downpipe external wastegate new headers.
need i go on
buying parts from usa is not an option when you have a problem they wont be around to help.

Everything is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. I'm not trying to cause an argument but just stating a fact. That is irrespective of the price you paid for it. So far someone has offered £2500 and so at the moment that is what it is worth to a buyer. I would probably up that to £3500 all in.
It's like shares, car prices, house prices, hi-fi, cinema tickets, flight prices, holidays, etc..... They are worth what people are willing to pay.
