Couple of snaps from Sat when i got it out of the garage to give it a little 'dusting' off

Small vents painted and fitted and mirrors painted the same grey I'm doing my wheels.

The grille is now painted and fitted and I'm half way through lowering it. Had a disaster with my boot spoiler as it has reacted really bad so needs flatting back and re-painting. Fortunately it was only at primer stage!!
More pics tomorrow.

Update, after spending £35 on clips at silverstone autosports (top dealership and staff
) I could finally fit my p/s trim

Fitted my grille, and painted the small parts under the indicators black again.
Lowered her 35mm on Apex springs (cheap and cheerful for now
) hopefully will settle a bit more once I start using her again.

Trimmed up my p/s door panel

And flatted off my boot spoiler and re-primed (correctly) this time

More soon..........

Cheers
Because I could
Seriously though I wanted to keep it blue but also wanted to be different to all the other blue Scoobies and this colour was the result!!

I like the V5 grille but not with the pre-facelift bumper so my V3 grille stays
Cheers, yeah I'm really made up with how its turned out, its not perfect, but that doesn't matter and lots of lessons learnt for the next project

Nothing to shout about my brakes so they'll be painted black for now. I'll paint my new brakes (four pots) brighter when I get them
Sticking with the Ford colour theme they're painted Ford polaris grey

Right, I've pretty much finished the exterior now, I've added a little twist based on my user name for the decals on the fog covers as I didn't want to go down the usual STi route
Masking tape was applied to the covers (as I had done on my centre caps), cut out by hand and painted then laquered over so that the blue was a pefect match

Painted the other two wheels too and my brakes black

Anyway I bring you on to the finished article.....

For all those who haven't read through the entire thread, this is what has been done bodywork wise
Bodykit removed and all holes welded and smoothed over,
Headlamp washers jet removed, holes plastic welded and smoothed,
Front bumper extended at the bottom by approx 2" to cover bottom of the intercooler,
Windscreen washer jets removed, holes welded, smoothed and jets relocated to scuttle panel,
A pillar aerial removed, hole welded and smoothed,
Boot lock removed hole welded and smoothed,
Mid level boot spoiler fitted and 3rd brakelight removed and smoothed,
Rear numberplate recess shortened and led no plate lamp fitted.
Re-spray in Ford electric blue with Ford polaris grey wheels, mirrors and fog covers.
ALL work was carried out by myself in my garage at home.
Hope you all like c&cs welcome
