Had a bloody long day today been up to leeds and grimsby to get a couple of things so heres pics for you
these need some work but should sand blast up ok i hope

Cheers guys i got a update for you i have given up with the mini forum lol the reception isnt very warm so i will stick with you lot so here goes had another evening on it tonight got a fair bit done with the front end i feel once i have got that in the right place then i can start to line up the main part of the mini body with the floor and dash rails etc
More tommorrow night sorry about pic quality its on my iphone will have to sort camera out for tomoz, Aim for tomorrow night is have the front end in position ready for welding and re-fab

Nice project I started doing similar with a Mk1 Escort theres a thread on here somewhere. The main problem is how far the engine is infront of the front wheels and as a mini has next to no frontend overhang you may encounter some problems there.

well another busy day got the front end all trimmed and in position ready for welding have also checked it is all square so hopefully no crabbing heres a few pics
here is how far the wheel stick out the black mark at 7inches is for a bodykit that i am tempted by soon as i find a pic i will get one up what offset wheels would i need to fill the arches

Todays antics with the joys of a welder and a plasma cutter

then i got busy on the rear end with the plasma cutter best tool in my workshop
Have this for sale if its any use to anyone just needs the outer skin spot drilling off make me a offer
If not it will go on the great ebay along with all other stuff i wont use
more next week hopefully get down in the evenings and get some re fabing done to make the front solid ready to cut the rear out wont be long

good effort sir , like your thinking got a soft spot for a Mini
My mates just done the same thing on a mk1 Fiesta the FieSTI as he now insists on calling it
I'll try and get him to do a thread as might give you a couple of pointers
