Hey Guys
Yeah fella that the idea he wants a bit much for that though lol so will watch it see what happens,
Bit of an update for you i have got the centre overlapping joint welded and the rest the tunnel patched in and got the car back on its wheels to start to faff with steering mounts and peddle mountings etc then gotta try and find couple of narrow seats to fit then still got a few more things to do with the cage just to make it fully sound,
Does anyone on here know anyone who can re-seal coilovers and refill basically refurb a set for me and how much cheers Alex
Pics soon i promise

dont sell it, sit on it for a few months till your situation gets better, then carry on, you will only regret it and wonder what it would have been like to drive, what it sounds like, the looks you would get etc, etc, trust me i know, i have an rs200 thats built on an impreza, its good fun, KEEEEEP IT.

Hey Guys
yes with regards to comments i freely welcome comments i am a thick skinned sole who has had a lot of flack in the past for being differant and, i am fully aware that at the moment the car is not gunna end up on the road consider this a prototype for my personal track use, at the end of the day it might not handle well could inbalenced who knows, thats the whole point of trying things,
And with the new iva they would look at it and probably say no way but you have got to start somewhere hence why the designs for the spaceframe which i have been working on another design that will create a full spaceframe, which will take time.
Unfortunatly i do not have a bottomless money pit !! as much as i would love to. It is all about learning and correcting untill you get it right, at the end of the day i am only 25 and have never done anything of this scale before yes i have restored classic cars from bareshell 1 of which is a current multiple show winner and onto its 2nd Magazine feature, all of which i did the work myself including the spray work
As i say everyone is intitled to an opinion, but to go as far as to say what i am doing gives the scene a bad name is a bit below the belt and how many people on here are doing anything similar to me, as far as i know 1 which is looking to be an amazing and quaility build which in my opinion when it comes to IVA time yes they will be strict but take this in to mind a standard mini be it from 1959 to 2001 will not in standard form pass the IVA on multiple points and yet how many 1000,s of mini's are driving on todays roads,
if you would like to go further if you take a 4x4 with a built chassis and throw the boudy away make your own it only needs a MOT so take all this into note when you start trying to dig at someone for trying something never done,
Thanks for all your comments guys hope to have some more updates for you soon,
If this thread has caused any offence to anyone then feel free to pm me your expressed views so we can talk it through,
Thanks

I don't know if it helps, but I run a CAD company and although I'm not an engineer I can do 2d cad plans and also 3d models if you have a design already.
Drop me a pm if you need any more info.

Hey Guys
Right the plan with this for the moment is to get it driving around and use it for auto-crossing and track days, untill i can afford to either build a spaceframe or get one made to spec looking at shell wise my idea for now is this
as it will cover the wheels and engine easily maybe evan a front mount rad so should look good and handle well i am going to attack the wiring loom this weekend so if anyone has diagrams or can point me in the right direction as to what to remove cheers alex

i've just lost 30mins of my life reading this whole thread, and it was worth it! :-) top work mate, can't wait to see it finished! i don't care if it does 3mph or 300mph, i'll be impressed to see it running and driving!
