Hey guys, sorry to be all doom and gloom but just want to give a heads up for anyone in the Solihull area;
Had a couple of guys looking around my Impreza with a torch on my drive at 3am this morning, I didn't see them, but my neighbour did. The car's fine, but I've now parked it so it's "blocked-in" on the drive and I'll purchasing a Disklock for it tomorrow from Argos
My neighbour said she didn't catch what car they were in or the number plate, only that there were 2 blokes, one tall, one short.
Just thought I'd let you guys know
On a lighter note, I got a quote for 3 grand on a Turbo 2000 today
Tom

They could be after some parts Tom. I had a Prodrive grill and a window spoiler(£600) removed off my car last year. All neatly unscrewed for re-use, sat on my drive aswell, never heard a thing. Also I live in a cul-de-sac so was obviously followed home at some point. So if anyone sees a Hawkeye with just the lower grill on it get the ******* reg. because you can only buy them in a set. Always lock it in the garage now even in the daytime.

Thats crap Mark mate, sorry bout that. Don't blame you for always putting it in the garage too, I would if I had one! lol
Matt I kinda hope you're right and when they were looking round the car they saw the brakes and were like "**** me it's not even a turbo, let's get our pikey ***** out of here!"

Have you thought putting a camera up?
Or do what my cousin did and put a dummy one up, its got a red led fitted so it looks like its recording and a fake wire coming out of it for the power feed major deterrent

160GB DVR Recording Kit and 2 x Security Cameras : DVR Kits : Maplin
Ive got a similar setup outside my house, works realy well, and the nighttime quality is very good, also an excellent deterent. Have got mine constantly recording via motion sensor, as the hdd fills up it simply starts to overwrite the start of the drive, as a result i have always got atleast 3 weeks worth of video. Give me a shout if you want something similar, can get these for sub 200 quid from my suppliers. Beware Sh*t versions on fleebay via china, crap video quality....

Reprazentin mate!
Cheers for the black country advice Deano, my Dad has one already so as far as our defensive firearms arsenal goes, we're ok
How'd you get on at Thwaites buddy? Did he say anything about the map? I'm servicing mine in a couple of weeks, got all the parts ready except a genuine fuel filter - the most expensive bit! Cheapest I've seen them for is just over 30 quid on ebay so might just go for that!
Interesting Dave, cheers for that mate I may look into it. Money's tight at the mo tho but that seems a very worthwhile device to have! I meant to have found you at the last meet anyway as I have a laptop that needs attention Will catch you at the next one if that's cool.

not good tom - a couple of ideas:
1. sleep in the car - I did that with my civic when the stereo was nicked - may need an extension wire to the house & and electric blanket
2. Halfords Professional 24" Breaker Bar 1/2" Drive from Halfords Price £21.49 I have one of these and comes in very handy - you know, when you struggle to get normal wheel bolts off, if you know what I mean?
3. Drive a beamer - I dont get any hassle usually, but then I may be very unpopular for suggesting this - lol
