Not sure where people get the idea that everyone in the 80s listened to Duran Duran at nightclubs whilst dressed as bouffanted up ponces.
My recollection of North london early 80s was a big skinhead/psychobilly scene with bands like the Meteors and King Kurt.
Footy clubs still had proper firms then.
