Well, here's the deal. The pain has gone. I think it must have been down to a particularly energetic game of tennis on saturday. Trapped nerve? Pulled Muscle? I don't know but I DO know that I feel a 100% better now

I never did call NHS direct or go to the local GP / Hospital. The last time I did seek medical advice was when the pain was so bad I could hardly move - Abcess that made sitting down impossible!

Back to rude health for now

I'll ask this as I don't really wanna start another thread.

I'm worried about my Mrs. Big bump round her gut, wet patch wheres shes sitting etc. Had terrible vomiting about 6 months ago (usually in the morning for some reason?), and now she's shouting something like "I'm eggnog" or something

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas have they...

Sounds like the pig flu mate

On a slightly more serious note, I have been having chest probs too lately. Been to the docs once already, gave me ecg, checked bloody pressure etc etc all seemed fine.

I haven't been getting a pain as such, when I first noticed it my chest felt kinda heavy (best way i can describe it) and occasionally I would get dizzy heads and my breathing seems to go, well hard to describe, but i guess the way to describe it is irregular. I become very conscious of my breathing and feel i have to take deep breaths?? Then after a while it seems to clear up??

This has happened a few times over the last couple of weeks, got a week off work this week so going to see how it goes and if it keeps occurring I’ll go back. Hope it’s not the old ticker as I’m only 30!

If it's just your GP you have seen then may be you should go and get a check out at a cardiac unit. I'm NOT a medic but it sounds similar to what someone said they felt like when they had a panic attack. dl

Yea just my GP, well not my actual doc as he was on hol but a GP none the less. Hhmmm, haven't really done anything to bring on a panic attack?? just been at work (in an office) as usual, nothing else in life has cropped up to bring anything like that on?

My mum has suffered from them before, although for different reasons (getting upset) and when she had them she could hardly breathe and couldn't stop for some minutes, scared the crap out of me, I wondered what the hell was going on, thought she was about to croke it!!

I've had nothing like that, thankfully, but worth bearing in mind i guess.

stiscooby - bit weird I guess but I would be interested to know what the outcome of this is as I too have been feeling the same!!! Spoke to the doctor on the phone a couple of weeks ago and he just put it down to perhaps stress or anxiety but I think he's talking out of his ...... Was up north at the weekend visiting my mum and while out for a very fast paced walk I started to feel a little dizzy, a couple of minutes of controlled breathing and I elt fine again!?!?!??

Ahh, so I’m not the only weirdo Joking aside - Yea the doc asked me if I’d been stressed etc, but nope, not me doc. He then asked ME what I thought it was and if I thought it was a heart problem!?!? what the ****, I said I dunno your the Doc, you tell me! tosser.

He said it could be to do with a muscle in my chest (if I have strained/pulled it) and gave me a prescription for an inhaler, not that that seems to make any difference. I think he was working on the fact I said my chest felt heavy, this seems to have worn off now but occasionally still get the dizzy head/breathing thing.

It has been about two weeks since been to the docs so i’ll see how things go this week while I’m off work. Should I go back to the docs I’ll let you know what he said, although I suspect it would be time for a blood sample and prob tests at hospital?
