As a Dundee United fan can I add that we are almost certain to be relegated this season as well.

McNamara and Donnelly were in charge of United at the start of the season and by Christmas we were well adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

How many other managerial partnerships have been directly involved in two different relegations in the one season?

Pair of utter incompetents.

Tell me about it, he's not got a clue. We're at home to Portsmouth tonight and we're winning at the moment and playing well. But we'll still go down.

Looks like it mate.

Newport's draw means you'll need to win your last four games 3-0.

Dundee United are currently 8 points adrift with 5 games left, so we need a miracle to stay up.

You've got a chance, so good luck. We're doomed.

Commiserations on the relegation.

I assume Macnamara will be fired now, or leave with his contract paid in full.

Strange thing though is that up in Scotland he is still regarded by many people as a manager with a future.
Apart from the Dundee United fans of course.

Reason was his dad played for Celtic. The west coast, big Glasgow two, biased press up here still report that it's not his fault he's potentially relegated two teams in the same season.

Unbelievable!

Our chairman says he's staying, they're both delusional. We got beat again yesterday, 4-1 at home to Bristol Rovers. Jackie McNamara can **** right off, he's absolutely clueless.

Serious commiserations that you are still stuck with the incompetent management team.
I can only assume that Macnamara must have some incriminating photographs of your chairman, because in any other club he would have been sacked long ago.

Dundee United were relegated last season as they brought in an even more useless manager after getting rid of Macnamara.
However we seem to have a decent young manager on board now, but it's going to be a difficult season undoing the damage that Macnamara inflicted.

Sad to see York in the position they are now. I remember them coming to us last game of the season when we were already promoted and they were already in the playoffs. Nothing to play for, but we ended up hanging on for yet another draw by the skins of our teeth.

Maybe conference is your chairman's comfort zone?

We've heard rumours that he's put a few quid in, that can be the only reason he's still here. Negative football for us this season then. 😡

A lot of strange goings on at York, nothing surprises me anymore. Just so disappointing.
