Could never get any pills, i don't know any scousers to buy them from. Plus that leading member of Liverpool Curtis Warren has been banged up so can't imagine there are many drugs available easily, which sort of explains why you're on here talking codswallop cold turkey are we??

Fans SUPPORT the team through thick and thin. You just come on here bitching and moaning about everything to do with the club.

Is the correct answer There's enough negativity around with the yanks in charge as it is. The Liverpool Way isn't about following the flock, it's about supporting those who wear the red shirt no matter what and not airing our dirty laundry in public (I'm looking at you Albert). Some just don't get it and never will.

Bad draw for us, but we never do things the easy way

Valencia or Atletico Madrid v Benfica or Liverpool.
Hamburg or Standard Liege v Fulham or Wolfsburg

Brilliant one week, appalling the next. TBH it doesn't matter WHO we play, just HOW we play.

Fans are allowed to air an opinion too.
Since 2006 we've finished 2nd and qualified for the champions league.
Do you honestly think we'll finish fourth, if you do your support of RB is valid and i am incorrect.
Since 2006 we may have finished with more points over previous seasons, the other top four teams have too.
I apologise for my bitching and moaning but there isn't much to be positive about.
I say what i see, you are a RB supporter i am not.
if we all said the same thing this thread would be long finished.

You're spot on DJ but dont you think that ethos started to disappear slowly but surely when Houllier took over and has gathered pace ever since especially in the past few seasons.

I don't think Houllier comes into it. For me, it's the yanks that don't get it at all and have no intention of ever getting it. We're rotting from the inside whilst they pull the purse strings.

Rafa other the other hand, understands completely. As much as I may not agree with many of his buys or with many of his tactical decisions, he'll get my support because he understands totally and unequivocally what the club is all about and wants to uphold it's traditions.

Blaming the manager is easy to do, but it's further up the food chain where the real heart of the issue resides.

My point was more referring to the old Boot room mentality that prevailed at Anfield for 30 odd years and nowadays they wash their dirty linen in public, manager, players, owners etc, I just couldnt see that happening 15 years ago it just wouldn't have been condoned, then again the media have a lot more to do with it these days.

Have the Kaiser Chiefs put in a bid ??

Probably wont happen as Capello seems settled on his four strikers, but I think he could make the squad based on his goal scoring, but does he fit in with Capello's style, probably not.

The mentality remains as much as it can do in this day and age. The owners of course are a law unto themselves and can't help but lie and spout their mouths off to the media; it's just the way they are. I think it's pretty clear that nobody wants their sort at the club. We can't progress until we're rid of them; we're just treading water and making the best of a bad situation.

Players today are a different breed, they have blogs & websites and act like media superstars; it's hard to stop them. I agree, the media are a lot to blame for sensationalising and twisting every word that comes from them. The new breed feel the need to constantly promote themselves - when world cup year comes around everything escalates and they get panickly when they're part of a big squad and not getting noticed. They're more interested in playing for country than club; something that has never really been the case here. Your Gerrards and Carras will put club over country in a heartbeat.

We do crack down on those that spout their mouths off in public; it's far from condoned. Reira got suspended and will be gone in the summer if he keeps going the way he is (would have been going anyway IMO) . Anyone else who throws a public strop will get treated in the same way if apologies and reparations aren't forthcoming.

As you say, that same mentaility is hard to keep in check all the while the media is the way it is, so it has eroded somewhat, but all the reason for keeping those who uphold the traditions like Rafa & Kenny. I don't buy or read newspapers any more; the level of journalism these days sickens me; an unbiased website is impossible to find too.

Cant help feeling rafa missed the opportunity yesterday, man.ure looked distinctly average and it was clearly there for the taking. Rafa should have played the lad Kelly at right back with Johnson right midfield, Aqualani in midfield instead of Lucas and Babel or Benni on the left with an instruction to support Insua.

Wont bang on about the "pen", as Webb is a World Cup ref so must know his stuff right ?

Kuyt looked unsurprisingly tired, so we weren't able to exploit that weak spot (aka Vidic) as well as usual I'd have liked to have seen Benni come on sooner as he didn't get a chance to get into the game. Aquilani still didn't seem to be over his virus.

And Webb . . .

Agree that Utd were not great yesterday, but where does that leave Liverpool?

Aquilani won't get over his "I'm not as good a football player as you all thought, plus I have a sick note as long as your arm" virus any day soon.

Tired? Bless. Nothing to do with being a distinctly average team with a disillusioned Gerrard then? No wonder your only other quality player -Torres- is getting hacked off and closer to the boarding gate every day.

A few facts for Rafa:

Fewest attempts/shots by Liverpool in a Premier League game this season? 5 - yesterday.

Who was trying? Rooney touches yesterday 71, Torres 26

Liverpool are now nearer on points to Sunderland in 13th place than to United in first.

They have lost as many League matches as Birmingham City (10) and as many away from home as Wolverhampton Wanderers (eight).

They have lost more away games than any team in the top eight, and have been outscored away by Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers.

They are unlikely to finish 5th, let alone 4th. The currently sit 6th with the teams above having not only more points, but also games in hand. Villa on their shoulders also have games in hand.

In Rafa I trust

Rooney, 71 touches, ( your count I have better things to do ) 1 goal, a lucky pen.

Torres, 26 touches. One goal.

You work it out.

Man U 3 more points towards 4th title in a row (19 in total apparently) / Liverpool zip - you go figure it out

Fat Boy reading Fat Samuels. 71 touches means sweet FA unless you do something with it.

As for sickness, wonder how many days the Owens have clocked up between them?

LOL Ashley look up your team's goal difference this year versus Man u's, and then ponder on who knows what to do with their touches (Clue: It ain't Liverpool...).

Re the Owens - loads, but the difference is that I am not hoping that either will be the saviour of this or any future seasons for us.

It would be nice to have Hargreaves back, even if it will probably be for a quick testimonial as his knees are probably past it now, and, if only he hadn't have been injured, Owen would definitely have been on the pitch on the weekend at some point and he probably would have scored, which would have put a smile on everyone's faces surely?

It's beginning to feel strange in that I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Liverpool now, which I though would never happen after what my Liverpool supporting friends put me through for 26 years, but I guess there comes a point where all you can do is feel a bit of pity for a once great club.

Get a grip man, what's wrong with you.

I noticed Rafa was still churning out the same out ****, "We have to "Focus" on the Portsmouth game"

Hey Rafa that's just it you and your boys dont focus anymore
