Here's another, those drivers who come down a slip road on your left making no attempt to time their entry, and therefore expect you to give way to them by slowing your car right down or pulling into the outside lane to get out of their way. A few times I've had to stay where I was as I was being overtaken myself, causing them to have to slow down to come off the slip behind me (only other choice was to come out alongside and collide) and they then flash their lights at me for not giving way to them!

Second to that is when the driver in the inside lane suddenly pulls over into the outside lane when you're 2 feet away from pulling alongside to pass them, so they can let the numpty from situation # 1 above join from the slip road...

Take this silly rule about lanes away. Overtake in what ever lane you like. Fu(k lane manners and get with the rest of the world.

I'm in two minds about this one, it seems to work OK abroad, but my worry would be if these people are so oblivious that you're behind them, they certainly won't see you coming past on the inside, and if they do decide to pull to the left...

one is hat; two are hats (not hat's)
one is horse; two are horses (not horse's)

I bet people who don't know how to use apostrophes properly are middle-lane hoggers, and don't indicate either.

And lane 3 on motorways is MY lane - it's for me and my BMW only, so keep out of it.

What about "Mr Business executive" in his company Merc/Beemer blah blah with the shirt hung up who has travelled 200 miles knowing where is getting off only to be stuck in the fast lane at the 300 yard marker, who then kindly cuts across 3 lanes of traffic nearly taking my fukin side wing off.....****!

Who then proceeds to go deaf and keep looking straight forward as I wave my fist and weld my hand to the horn....

Horses; they are meant for stamping across fields...not roads...end of...think nothing of leaving their half a ton of fresh **** (cos its good for the roses) on the road which could cause a potential crash if some thick splitarse runs through it

Cyclist......well...lets face it, thats what the works van is for, scaring the living crap out of them by driving 3cm from their sides at 70mph....now get outta my way!

i thought in the highway code it says that if u can move over and let them on u should do its more dangerous to force them to stop on the slip road and make them join at 15mph than it is to just move over and let them on. They cant pull out on u if u let them out.

My personal bug bare is on single lane carrigways when u overtake and the overtaken vehicle tries to stop u by moving over the white line and pinch, my mates dads and old man and is always doing this. His Argument.

"im in front why are they trying to go past me, the trouble with this country is everyones in a hurry im doing 50mph in 60 zone im being safe"

my argument

"its not the planets fault ur in an old ford escort van that does 0-62 in 49 seconds and has a top speed of 85mph or 55mph when ur driving, and ur causing unsafe driving by not driving to the highway code"

i rember he did it to a landy defender once. the defenders passenger just lent out the window and kicked his mirror off lmao.

I hate it when your sitting at a big round about an theres somebody driving round it an they take the cut off before the junction your sitting at without indicating when if they had indicated you could have pulled out knowing where they are going........also annoyed by people not indictating at all on the roundabout it would help traffic flow better if they did.

Hate tail gaiters in hot hatches!!

Hate middle lane hoggers on motorways

hate tuesdays

hate people who abuse parent child parking spaces. especially the ones with baby seats in the car and no sign of a baby but they park there anyway.

when your approching road works and it narrows to one lane and you have markers from 800yards down the way........ dont you just hate these fuds that stay out until the last 50 yards then indicate to try an squeeze in at the last moment because their journey is more important than yours!! If they got in lane at 800 yards then there would not be a slow down at the start of the lane closure.
I saw a truck driver straddle the middle lane of a dual carriageway once stopping everyone get past him well before the roadworks....... hey i thought i hate you!
But in doing that we all drove straight through the road works without slowing.

oh an i dont much like those pickles you get in Burgher Donalds type restaurants..... thanks for listening (breathe)

Maybe they're picking the wife & kids up? I've done it ...& dont assume that 'no car seat' means that they haven't got a baby/child onboard either (think 'travel systems') ...made that embarassing mistake once

The problem with the polite 'queueing' mentality is that it can completley kn4cker junctions on & off prior to the road works ...traffic managers will always tell you to use both lanes & 'merge in turn' as this prevents the above due to both lanes queues being the same length

People who overtake so slowly that it makes it alomost impossible for those behind to follow on through.

You all know the one where the lane is closing from 2 lanes to 1. You always get the knoblets who force their way into the queue at the last moment, causing a shockwave that halts traffic behind.

Arsho@es who park by using 2 bays because their precious 'Mini One' (just a recent example) might get soiled by the filth of mere motorists.

My two worst pet hates of other people driving are "straight lining junctions and round abouts" and "refusing to pull out of the outside lane or pulling straight into the outside lane when entering the motorway/dual carriageway"

Could be possible but im yet to see it..........

I agree with the merge in turn part but the point i was making was that when you have already made your way into the lane that remains open and traffic is flowing all it takes is for somebody to wait till the last minute an cut in. The person that has had to let him in invariably has had to slow down causing everyone else behind to slow again with the obvious knock on effect
that the overall speed drops.
It aggravates me and plenty other drivers

Not as far as I know, I recently bought a copy just to see if all the rules had changed ?

They hadn't ! the dotted line at the end of a slip road is a 'give way', you should be prepared to stop if you are unable to join the carriageway safely.

But the most efficient place to 'zip merge' is at the focal point i.e NOT 800 yards down the road, if we all did this then the above situation would never arise ...lemming like premature queueing is the cause, queue jumping is the 'effect' ...hence why the Highway's agency & the Highway code are now advocating zip merging.

i hate it when overtaking a slow moving car and i look in my left wing mirror to see if ive passed it and its safe to get back in the inside lane and theres no car there. i look left and see them (usually a golf gti) who's booted it once i get along side and theyre slowly pulling away, forcing me to boot it to get past

all vectra gsi drivers

all audi drivers

cyclists treating the road like its one of them indoor cycle tracks whilst complaining about car drivers using the road as a race track

People that have the good fortune to be able to drive a big 4x4 and expect privelidges in supermarket car parks for preferrencial parking just because they have 2.4 children. Meanwhile, the parents of 2.4 children that have to walk to the supermarket because they have not got the good fortune of being able to drive the big 4x4 get no priveliges at all. They are even at risk of getting run over by these ignorants in their 4x4 while negotiating the supermarket car park.
These supurmarket tossers even display the child on board badge, even though they have little or no respect for anyones family.

Drivers, who when joining an empty motorway or dual carriageway, absolutely must be in the 2nd or 3rd lane as soon as possible. Often they are also at a very average speed.
