The first layby after where the A505 joins is on a sweeping RH bend so Jess should be saying to you Mark "40 Right long sweeping 5th or 6th gear flat." LOL

First day preliminary results after 4 stages. Over 30 retirements for various reasons. These stages seem to be hard on the cars.

Hi Mark
How was it?. glorious day in chelmsford. Hope to make this event next year 3rd time lucky.

 

Hot hot hot. Everyone came back with pandas eyes. Cracking day with some close racing for a rally. They set the cars off quite close together so there was some bunching leading to some competitive positioning for the narrow chicanes.

One of the Subaru entries came over to our stand to borrow Gary's rear view mirror. He said it was the first rally he had done that he had ever needed one.

Some pictures are up over on Scoobycity & mine will be up soon. I hope to have a couple of short clips of the Aston in action with accompanying sound track.

The pit access was very good & my Time Attack shirt seemed to give me "Access all areas" status. More of that later.
