This weekends Top Gear thread
I noted the RS only "just" pipped the MKV R32 on the lap times by a second;
Considering a R32 is heavy car (40kg heavier) plus a whopping 60bhp short on power and 90lbft short on torque; The RS should absolutely tronce it, but it doesn't. That to me speaks volumes; the RS's engine is not using all of its power potential (ECU throttle management strikes again
).

If they responded to all your whims the audience levels would drop by about 95%.
It's an entertainment show with a car theme. I enjoy it every time.
How can watching JC driving a 500bhp Evo with Army vehicles chasing then blasting it with 50mm HMGs not be entertaining?
If car geeks took over, the series would last about two episodes.

Not quite sure what the moaners want. Watch Fifth Gear for sensible reviews of everyday cars - oh no hang on that is insanely boring. Watch Top Gear with fast cars with entertainment thrown in but it's criticized for not being a factual review show.
Only thing I really miss from the earlier days of TG is Quentin Wilson's buy a bargain article. Used to enjoy watching that and seeing what classics could be picked up for very little money in great condition with a good review of the car and what to look out for.

I would like a programme that doesn't rehash its jokes and stunts every week. Particularly this episode had the Evo racing against the Army. This has been done twice before, Why bother doing it again? TopGear has run its course.

What do 'you' want Top Gear to do to make the show better in your opinion?
Come on, you have had enough rants, now post something constructive.
Besides star in a reasonably priced car, why don't they allow the public to race on the track, one at a time for the fastest lap record in different catagories ( hot hatches etc ) using their own cars ?.Or race together.

-FOR THEM NOT TO REHASH STUNTS AND JOKES
Now even that has to be quite clear for the donkey raping **** eaters who watch TG religiously.
He asked what you DO want, not what you DON'T want.
Hopefully that will be quite clear for the frontal lobotomised sheep who watch each week regardless, even though they know they're going to hate the programme...

I am no script writer but then again I don't get paid for writing scripts but as the script writers on TopGear DO get paid handsomely for doing so, is it too much to ask for?

Again, constructive criticism is not 'what you don't want'. Come on....what would the new 'Jamz3k' top gear format be like? I'm just dying to know.
People like you really do get up my nose. It is a car entertainment program that, in this format, has been around for a number of years. If you watch it every week, of course things are going to start to become familiar. But, if you don't like it (apart from the first episode of this series which you actually liked.
) why watch it for all these years?
Personally, I love the fact that we get to watch 3 grown men pissing about with cars. They have been on some incredible journeys together and we have been able to follow them along the way. It is a refreshing change to usual depressing, health and safely bollox that is usually shown in the bbc.
Please please please, tell us how you would do it differently and what demographic group you would aim for.
Because at the moment, all you sound like is a 'keyboard warrior'.

I would then hire a team that don't break under the influence of Clarkson as his ideas are stagnant to rejuvenate the show feel. Along with this I would remove the Star In A Reasonablely Priced Car section as it is boring and again Clarkson cannot interview people. I would replace this with a Motorsport section, which would review the weeks going on in F1/Rally etc.
I also would add more cars to the show with less filler. As it is a car show afterall.
I have more ideas but unless you're willing to pay for my consultation I will leave it at these small points that I believe would create a much more enjoyable show.
If you enjoy watching 3 men pissing about thats fine by me, as one mans meat is another mans poison. I do find it hilarious how the usual bunch like to jump on anyone who disagrees with the might that is TopGear.
Personally people like you get up my nose for thinking that people like me get up your nose. As you can see from my original post i didn't attack anyones opinion of TopGear until someone attacked mine but then again my opinion is WRONG.
Now i shall leave it at this and let you brush the **** from inbetween your teeth.

Trust me, I have more than once now gone 'against the grain' on this site, because I didn't agree with the masses. But, and you'll be surprised to hear this, there was such a show that met all of your requirements.....it was called 'top gear'. It was shown on BBC 2 at 8pm on a thursday night. I just can't remember what happened to it..........
You're ideas seem to cover the car nut and not the car enthusiast. Two very different groups of people.
And you do not have to get silly with your remarks. I did not call you names or imply that you had poo on your teeth!
