unless I'm mistaken that's my old P1 box you have - if I'm right about you having my box, then it had it's original viscous centre diff replaced with a dccd centre diff for about 18 months before I sold it to you with the original viscous centre diff back in place (funnily enough all done by Lord Pavlo here ). dccd and viscous centre diffs are a straight swap as long as front and rear diffs and transfer ratios match.
The point of all this baloney is to back up Banny - it definitely can be fitted to a dccd set up as that's what I did ( p1/stiV/Sti Vi front and rear diffs are 4.44 with 1:1 transfer gears) so a straight swap.
Great thread by the way - shame the Op's rocket ship wasn't available for TOTB ( or the Hungarain GP)

Funny how you just come on and post to try to start trouble. But it doesn't really work when you've got the wrong story a$$hole. Just a bent valve from a dodgy gear change you idiot.

Lisa, may I point out its responses like that which kicked things off last time. Let's not go back to that eh?
Just look on the bright side in that it could have been a whole lot worse than a dislodged shim. One piece solid lifter time perhaps?
Hope you get it sorted and get to some events over this side of the water next year

I was merely replying to an unnecessary and entirely fictitious post by a spammer who appears to have a personal vendetta against me despite never having met me. The car is fixed. Cheers Daz.

What a BHP fantasy here lol..
Mate i think you need to go and put your car on a different dyno, cause figures that johnny gives you are hilarious and actually funny.
Now talking from my experience i have seen cars mapped by AI, then checked elswhere and results where quite dissapointing, from evos making healty 450 bhp on his dyno and then half that on couple of other dynos like DD, DynaPack..etc..
@ Neil i saw your car mate in Bishopscourt and i dont think i was impressed, i certainly wouldnt aggre that your car is running 680bhp

RR figures will always be questioned. Its all about how it performs at the end of the day. This one goes pretty well ! I'll tell you better next season when I give him a bit of competition... (hopefully)

Sure are, I've now got a very nice 2007 sti DCCD in mine and at first the gearing seemed too high between changes on "normal" driving as tended to bog the car for split second or two but now I'm used to it, not a problem. I'm running an MOT map at the mo with sports cat at 400-430 mark (1.45 bar) and she flies, gearing is much more to my liking than the older 6 speeds (not that they were bad mind) but still the slight issue of 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th because of H design, I've learned just to leave the change in netural for a split second and she slots in perfect - its not the syncs or anything, just belting her in gears you tend to be just slightly out of alignment from 2nd into 3rd. I love these boxes, magic on 2.5Ls but think the cost of going through gear sets is over and above waiting to get old of a good second hand one.

Is that a GT35 std fit? Is so then agree not posible, however is it a twisted setup ?
Back to the six speed, they can be broken, just mullered my centre diff, easy to do, quick burst of wot in 2nd when a fellow scooby owner decided to try it on, flick on anti lag, snap change into third, back end sideways and what appeared to be wheel spin as she broadsided up the on slip to the M4, thought no more of it till i changed the box oil and dropped the mini sump to check the main magnet, large clunky bits ... but it has done over 220 full throttle launches at Stratford using 1.5 bar. Clutch is fine though.

Just to update. This mota hasent been seen for a long time and has never backed up the qtr times published. Exploded i think so?
realistic bhp fiures can be backed up but not in this case. TOTB awiats without holding breath.
